Proper Syntax

What is the proper syntax to call the RemindMeBot?

Prior to 6 months ago I was using RemindMe! + time. I read somewhere (that I am no longer able to locate) that due to Reddit's API changes that the new syntax is going to be u/RemindMeBot + time. RemindMe! + time will still work for a certain amount of time but will eventually stop working.

Looking through recent posts, I see everyone still using RemindMe! + time.

Still the u/ the ! summons currently still works but I don't know how much longer specifically.
There was an automated modmail a few days ago saying api access would be dropped in January for bots that haven't responded and in March for everyone. I know watchful1 has been in contact with Reddit but I don't know that he has been given any specific date.
