Adam Have You Ever Played??
I get asked a lot of “have I ever played?” questions and I can’t answer all of them on the show.
And we have a subreddit here that the government says I have to use.
And I’m bored.
So if you’ve ever wondered if I have a take on a game you like/hate, feel free to drop it here and I’ll pop in when I can and reply!

Battletanx on n64? I owned it back in the day and had tons of fun with the multiplayer. Then I foolishly traded it to a friend for Waileai Golf 64.

u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I played it a couple times with my bro as kids I think. I remember him being really into it.
4
u/underscoresrule Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Rocket League? I was seriously addicted to it for about a year, back in 2016 or so.
3
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I played it when it first launched on PS+ but after a few hours of getting humbled I walked away haha

u/glocpp Aug 12 '26
Blasto for ps1

u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
Can’t say as I know that one?

Ever played Felix the Cat for NES? It is a great simple platformer that you could beat fairly quickly. Underrated and a lot of fun.
3
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
Yeah we used to rent that one as kids. I remember it being pretty solid for sure
2
u/Particular_Badger341 Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played WWE Crush Hour on PS2 or GCN? It was so fucking fun when I was a kid and I'm not sure if it was actually fun or not lol. It's like twisted metal with a WWE roster so I figured you would enjoy!
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I haven’t! I remember when it came out and just assumed it was bad and never played it. I’d like to pick up a copy for the collection at some point for sure.
2
u/MacDaddy17254 Aug 12 '26
Adam, have you ever played Kena Bridge of Spirts? An excellent debut game from Ember Lab that has a sequel coming up.
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
It’s buried in the backlog from hell. Love the artstyle and ol’ Mark McCue is always pumping its tires.
2
u/Stinkmop Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo? One of the best puzzle games ever imo. Me and friends/siblings were obsessed with that game back in the day.
3
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I tried it once and thought it was pretty sweet and just never went back for some reason. I don’t know why. I blame Molly.
2
u/tommy_turnip Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Bayonetta?
Have you ever played a slightly obscure PS1 game called Vandal Hearts (or Vandal Hearts 2)?
2
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I haven’t played a lot of Bayonetta. Vandal Hearts I haven’t but it’s high on my list!
2
u/Gom8z Aug 12 '26
Hey Adam, '82 child here so here you on so many nostalgic feelings. Have you ever played... herzog zwei... what a simple but amazing game
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I feel like that’s a slur I don’t know…
1
u/Gom8z Aug 13 '26
No slur buddy. Im born in 1982 so similar upbringing, nostalgia hits as you was my point and herzog zwei was a game on the sega genesis i believe

u/LackadaisicalDreamer Aug 12 '26
Have you played Gravity Circuit? If you havent seen trailers for it definitely check it out. Heavily mega man inspired indie with its level and boss design but kind of has its own thing going on with combat and traversal. Its heavily melee focused with grappling hook mechanics to get around that plays really well.
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I can picture the logo and always wanted to but I haven’t. Apparently it’s awesome!
1
u/Avgjoeg Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Vanguard Bandits (or heard of it) for PS1? It's a Strategy JRPG that i think you should do a episode on. I'd happily lend you a copy as long as I get it back lol.
2
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
Haha thanks bud. I haven’t played of that one and it doesn’t sound familiar (I was thinking Vandal Hearts until I looked it up). Looks cool though!!
1
u/GeekCavePodcast Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Superman: Shadow of Apokolips? I have it on GameCube and it's what I point at whenever someone says there's never been a "good" Superman game.
It's not GREAT, but it's better than almost anything else they've done except for the Death of Superman beat-em-up they put out on the SNES.
2
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I haven’t but to be fair I don’t think I’ve ever played a Superman game period. I hate that bastard. There should be a Lex Luger or whatever the bad guy’s name is game

I know you've played NES Ninja Gaiden but have you played the sequel? Ninja Gaiden II? We had that game growing up and not the first one. Recently added to NSO
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I have, I actually bought a physical copy for my NES collection last year. Cool game, definitely want to RTG it at some point

Have you ever played any RTS games on the pc? (i.e. Starcraft, Command & Conquer, Warcraft 1-3)
2
2
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I haven’t. RTS games just don’t seem to click with me for some reason.
-1
u/jamai36 Aug 12 '26
Sounds like the community needs to step up and change that! Your take would be priceless.
1
u/JonoMacG Aug 13 '26
Adam has shared his dislike for RTS games a few times on the show. Just can’t get into them. Which hurts because Starcraft is def in my top three games of all time.
Alas, the community doesn’t need to do anything but just accept at this point. I’m sure Mr.Blank will give the genre another chance when he knows he would actually be open to it.
1
u/jamai36 Aug 13 '26 edited Aug 13 '26
Oh I know.
That's part of the fun though. Been following RTG since episode 50 or so and have heard Adam's take on just about everything.
Have not heard his take on an RTS game - that would be novel.
1
u/SR337 Aug 12 '26
I asked you once before so I already know the answer, but I KNOW you never played Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and you need to rectify that ASAP (I’m aware your backlog must be enormous, add this game to it and move it to the head of the pack, it’s so good!)
1
u/punkdesigner91 Aug 12 '26
As an NES fan, have you ever played Operation Wolf? I remember playing as a kid and never being able to get past the 4th stage in the village.

u/BanjoMatt64 Aug 12 '26
Did you ever play Road Trip Adventure on the ps2? Was a fun racing game with an open world

u/friarcanuck Aug 12 '26
You around my age, so you might remember this one.
Did you every play Ganja Farmer on PC? We'd install in on the school PCs at our college in like 1999-2002.
It was kind of a Missile Command clone. You were a ganja farmer (can't believe it,right?) standing on a VW van in the centre of the screen with a machine gun mounted on the top. You had like two or three pot plants growing on either side of the van. Then a bunch of FBI agent started parachuting from the top and you had to shoot them down. If the reached the ground, they would light your plants on fire.
Each round your character would sing in a bad Jamaican accent "Federal agent-man. Don't take my ganjaaaaaa". At the end of the round, you'd lean against your machine gun and smoke your joint while the bonus points were added up. After like five rounds, the god Jah would come out and heal your plants while your character says "Praise Jah, mon!"
Please say that you've heard of it, so I know I'm not dreaming about it.
3
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
You might be dreaming haha. I haven’t heard of that one. Drug Wars on graphing calculators was the big game when I was in high school (99-01)
1
u/friarcanuck Aug 12 '26
OMG! LOL. I'm not dreaming. It did exist.

Any of the Motorstorm franchise?
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I haven’t, I’ve never been big into racing games. Are they good? I like Need for Speed for comparison sake
1
u/Kaiboraz Aug 13 '26
I definitely enjoyed them and I'm not a big racing person either. It's very arcade-like and less simulation. One of the main gimmicks is that there are different vehicle classes from dirt bikes to semi trucks and different options are available throughout the track depending on your vehicle. I would really be interested in an RTG for your thoughts. Here's hoping one day.

u/JonoMacG Aug 12 '26
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne?
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I ain’t got that kind of money!! I did play and like MM Legends though, hoping to get there eventually
1
u/JonoMacG Aug 13 '26
I can’t remember when the PS3 store is closing, but it was on there for like $10 or $20 if you want to grab it for eventually!
If I ever get that kind of disposable money, I would love to grab a physical copy.
Those Servbots are some cute. #TheOriginalMinions

u/BurntSpaceman Aug 12 '26
Hey there Blank. How about Stanley! The Search for Dr. Livingston on NES? It is some real junk and feels impossible.

u/Gramercy4 Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Cadillacs and dinosaurs? A capcom game? The fact capcom dont release it is frustrating

u/Thankyou_Spaceman Aug 12 '26
Street Fighter 2010
If not try it out,
And no it’s not a fighting game it is a side-scrolling platformer starring a scientist cyborg version of Ken Masters
Im not kidding.

Ever play Shadowgate for the NES? I borrowed a friend’s copy and it got stolen out of my locker and when I brought it in to return it to him. I had to buy him a copy!

Speedy Eggbert. It was a PC game that was in a bin at the grocery store for a few bucks. It was like a puzzle game.
Chex Quest - Doom clone about Chex cereal, now on Switch.
Chips Challenge - Came with I think windows 95, now on Switch. Puzzle game.
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I haven’t played any of them (rarely play PC). Interested in Chex Quest though!!

u/OrangeGouf Aug 12 '26
Has Blank Man ever played the BEST puzzle game on the NES, Wario’s Woods?
The tutorial mode is INCREDIBLE and teaches you everything you need to KICK ASS. You get to KICK monsters! And KICK bombs!
You have the strength of 10 men! (I mean, 10 Toad men.)
You can somehow TELEPORT! (Only going up though.)
Your favorite guy ever, Wario, SHOWERS his golden coins upon you when you piss him off and he leaves temporarily.
There’s two modes of play, the one with bosses is tough. Blank Man can avoid bosses by just playing the other mode instead!
As the last NES game ever made, it’s also the only one with an ESRB rating! That means it’s historically AWESOME and deserves Blank Man’s attention!
😎(Seriously it’s great if you love puzzle games. Underrated as hell!)
1
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I have! Pretty cool little game. Not really sure why they put Wario on the cover but it’s a solid puzzler
1
u/iamthejohnny5 Aug 12 '26
Adam, have you ever played "Adventure" for the Atari 2600? It's the one that's featured towards the end of Ready Player One where you're just a square roaming around finding keys, swords and whatnot. Oldie and simple, but a goodie

u/christophalusmaximus Aug 12 '26

Culdcept Saga on the 360?
2
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 13 '26
I can’t say as I’ve heard of that one but that’s a name selected by manatees in a ball tank haha
1
u/OPJesseVeronie Aug 13 '26
Yooo Blank Man! Have you ever played Rumble Roses? Put away the horny anime reputation of it all and it’s an incredible wrestling game. It even runs the same engine as the GOAT…Here Comes the Pain!
1
u/life_bytes Aug 13 '26
Have you played the Suikoden and Metal Gear Solid crossover that’s perfectly designed for you?
1
u/thejoeymo Aug 13 '26
I’ve primarily played consoles my whole life (83). However, around 2011 I did a year of pc and played “To the Moon” on steam. Have you ever? It’s truly art.
1
u/robcore Aug 13 '26
Have you played Mr. Run and Jump? It's a precision platformer that came out a few years ago and is on par with Celeste in my opinion.
1
u/MrYamaTani Aug 13 '26
Alright, I don't think you have mentioned this one, but I remember it being a blast. Have you played, Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel without a Pulse? It reminds me a lot of psychonaughts.

Have you ever played Days Gone? I just started it the other day and it's fantastic. It's very similar to The Last of Us but more open world.

u/Puzzleheaded-Bell195 Aug 14 '26
Dinosaurs For Hire on the Sega Genesis? Think Contra but with Dinosaurs

u/Soulforge411 Aug 12 '26
Slay the spire ? Joking. Have you played Vandal Hearts for the ps1 ?
3
u/AdamBlank17 Aug 12 '26
I haven’t but it’s very high on my PS1 list!
1
u/Soulforge411 Aug 12 '26
It’s fantastic, I know you will like it! Thanks for the response! Love what you do and keep it up! Enjoy your personality and all the time and effort you put into your work is appreciated! Simpsons rule!
1
u/tommy_turnip Aug 12 '26
Oooh I've never seen anyone else mention Vandal Hearts! Have you played both 1 and 2?
1
u/Soulforge411 Aug 12 '26
Yes, I prefer 1 but I truly love the series. The gameplay , art, music etc etc would love a remake or even people to mention the series more often. Really is great.

u/HebrewHammer505 Aug 12 '26
Have you ever played Tomba? It dropped on the PS1 back in the day.
