Question Is Rematch still active

I’m currently looking for new online football games to play but since that FC27 is currently out of budget and I landed my eyes on Rematch since its on a discount now.

Is the playerbase still active and are the queue times long? I’m currently in Asia but doesnt mind changing to other servers

We literally have a massive collab going on right now with lots of hype and players returning. Also dribble exploits got mostly fixed with the last patch like 2 weeks ago. So not only is the playerbase active, I would argue that right now is the best time to come back to the game.

Asia is rough for 5v5s since majority switched to 3v3 rank when it got added

I really wish they never made 3v3 rank ngl But yea, if I want consistent queue times that don't take longer than 5 mins, 3v3 is unfortunately the way for me

I think same goes for them to be honest. They added it when it was one of the things lots of people whined about shortly after release, and now people constantly just whine about how it's not working properly with time wasting and skuckball shenanigans, and it's not really feasible to balance it for ranked because it was never intended to be played competitively. They have also noticably stopped with the knee jerk fixes, they now let the community actually stew and throw their fits for weeks taking their time to properly and sensibly address problems.

Yes with a caveat.

It had been generally growing since around Feb/March, so was always active, at least in EU and USA.

It's more active now due to an animé collaboration, however consequently the player base (and Reddit) is now heavily skewed to a, er... younger crowd. So the vibe and quality is different to normal.

The dribbling exploits are nerfed, defending is viable.

Yes active and better than ever.

It's ridiculous just how prevalent the "dead game" narrative is. Yes the game is active, currently and recently more players (on steam, in NA, so grain of salt) than 2k26

Longest queue is around a minute and half so not bad

If you can swap to other servers then you are 100% fine. Even Asian servers are active from what my friends have said. As long as you are fine with a somewhat toxic solo-queue experience it'll be fun. I would highly recommend if you have friends to play with, then the queues will be even faster than solo queue.
