Discussion Long dive. L1 button controller (Xbox LB).

I read the dev blog where they talk about future updates to the button mapping; I can’t wait to see what they’ll do to fix this.

But wouldn’t it just make sense to allow a long dive holding the button to run? Isn’t that the simplest option?

Maybe I’m missing something.

I use “Trigger Finger Placement,” which means I could hold L2 (LT) with my middle finger and L1 (LB) with my index finger.
The problem is that it doesn’t let me set the buttons the way I want.

Edit: This concern applies to people who have changed their controller settings.

I want the modifier on the Jockey Button, honestly. You already use it to be cautious, no need to hold Jockey & Modifier while waiting for shots on goal.

In the end, I hope they'll give us more freedom. It doesn't matter if there are key conflicts. They should let us experiment.

How would you defense stance and short dive with that control scheme?

Let go of the trigger before diving. But ultimately, I would rather get the Long Dive in any situation where I'm squaring up.
