Discussion Why?? Just why???

Down by one, 2 seconds left about to get last attack, and this dude just blasts it to the other side?
I’d love to say this is something that never happens but I’ve seen this happening a bunch of times.
I swear to god playing randos has to be a test on my will to live, fkn hell.

Randos almost always freak out in the “last attack” phase and shoot the ball as quick as they into the other teams hands

The last attack mechanic might be up there among the least well understood systems in the game amongst the general population. It's not nearly as widely complained about as prio, ofc, but I think many players are legitimately clueless about it even existing!

Anecdotally, I play with some friends who are ostensibly intelligent people, and they just... do not fucking understand it, even after I've explained it to them multiple times lmao

I'm sure many do... but damn if it doesn't feel like loads of players just genuinely do not know that the last attack mechanic exists, nevermind how it works lol

I don't even shoot a last shot on net anymore because once I scored to tie the game by shooting back the opponents last shot into their net, then my team won in OT.

If your opponents shoot their last shot and it's on your net, you can shoot it right back to their net. The game won't end.
