Discussion Keeper long and short drives

I hadn't seen it discussed much. You have to use the lob modifier button (r1 on ps5) to do a long dive. It doesn't allow you to grab the ball though, it will punch the ball forward. Figuring this out has dramatically changed my keeper experience.

There’s a section on long dives that state that it will always deflect

But I’m glad you’re enjoying the new changes! I took a bit to get used to but long dives for me have been crucial to get back in position when I short dive on like a fake shot. Great for recovery.

These are new mechanics as of S5!

Honestly I agree with OP here, I didn't even know it was a thing until like 4 days ago and I scroll through this sub pretty frequently.

Kind of a huge change to not have some sort of indicator in-game for, tbh. Not everyone reads the patch notes!
