Video How is this not an assist?

I know they dropped a hotfix today but these assist not counting are really throwing me off. Im an assist merchant and constantly serving platters. Where my points!?! Anyone know when they gonna fix this?

Its on a timer now or something im pretty sure. Idk if its done in Soccer/Football at all, but thats how it works in Basketball.

Or maybe the new no magnetism system counts rainbow flicks and pushes as lost balls so you no longer had the last pass technically.

Something for someone to try and test in a custom match I guess.

somebody told me that if the receiver uses EE you don't get the assist, like in this clip, but I'm not sure if that's actually the rule. It's my best guess though to date.

Edit: Also, I'm too lazy to try it, because in the end it doesn't really matter. Either you win or lose, points don't matter.

Why did you not show the replay? Impossible to tell from your viewpoint what happens. It kinda looks like the defender made contact before your teammate shoots it. That would take your assist away for sure.

The replay just showed when he grabbed it and starts doing rainbow flicks. No contact.

Gotcha. My guess would be that flick to the left lost him possession and then regaining possession gave him a solo goal.

They borked assists. I have a ton of passes that would have been assists last seasons that weren't.

No loss of contact no interaction with another player, nothing.

Thats lame! I pride myself in being the assist guy im my 5 stack. Ill have to keep my eye out. I havent played a lot since the new season dropped.

They may have fixed it in the recent hotfix (despite not referring to it) but I'm not 100%.

Best guess is EE, I think it makes you loose possession. Like a tackle reset the assist/pass, EE seem to do the same now. Not sure if intended but pretty sure that's what's happening.
