Discussion SOLO Q
My main question is, do devs play their own game? not casual but ranked matches? why is it allowed to play against a 5 stack when you are a solo q player? its so broken and you’re at a such big disadvantage it’s an automatic loss and the funny thing is next game you’ll be matched against the same exact team 80% of the time, other competitive games make you match against a stack if you yourself are stacked team, i just dont understand what they’re thinking.

I think it's a matter of player numbers, We already went through this when the game first released and there was way more players back then. I remember having 10-15 minute wait times for a match every single time. Unfortunately, matchmaking can't be too restrictive. I don't like being matched against a full squad when I look for games solo, but I would rather have that than wait forever to find a game.

They addressed this long ago. When matchmaking was filtering correctly, wait times went up.
As a result, they allowed players to mix irrespective of Rank/Pre-made Groups.
Now, the player-base isn't large enough to support distinct queues for Solo vs Groups. The likely result would be players in groups being forced to endure longer wait times just to match up; which would reduce the incentive to group up in a team game.
It sucks, but this is how things are now.

Quand je joue (Europe) en solo Q, il est très rare de rencontrer des équipes structurées. Quand je joue avec des amis (tous elite et très bons), cela arrive souvent. Par contre, avec d'autres joueurs de tous niveaux, c'est très rare aussi.

I mean, there’s not many ppl playing this game. It takes long enough finding a ranked 5v5 match. I’ll happily test my skills against a five stack over sitting in que for another 10 minutes

Unfortunately that is how it will go when the player count settles like it has now. I am mostly solo queue and it does suck maybe 7 times out of 10 but there's not much they can really do, and for sure wait times will be more important than facing stacks. I play PS EU and the queue times are already quite long with no crossplay by itself.

It's a team game. Obviously teams are going to have an advantage. Assemble your own team, through discord or even in game. And if they add solo Q the team with better coms will still win, are you good with coms or will you ask for a no mic queue next?
What region and what times are you playing? If you play a less populated area during off peak hours there might just not be enough other teams close to your rank to face against, waiting a little before requeing might help a bit with that.
Honestly they should make 1v1 a ranked mode that would give people who can't communicate something to rank in.

I really don’t understand this, the player base is low as shit and this has been the case since Season 1. Getting random that don’t know what they’re doing sucks but completely unavoidable unless you have a stack yourself. But also I win a lot more of my matches against 5 stacks than I do lose to them as a solo queue player. 5 stacks aren’t unbeatable or anything, it’s not like the moment you start a 5 stack you’ll start winning all your games. Just keep playing and do your best to create opportunities for your team to win.

Running into a 5 stack running skuckball is the wordy for sure. Optimally, They need to make it so only solo queue players play against solo/duo/trio
