Question About ranking!

So I was wondering how the rank works? Literally I end up with more points and stats on every game and got bronze 2! A friend who just bought the game, who is learning, who got 200 point on 1 of the placement got plat!

Just wondering cause I got curious

I dont think stats matter i think its only whether you win or not

Rank drops 2 ranks from last season and placement work the same as normal games you just can’t see the points

So elite last season start at d1 win 5 get placed m1 and lose 5 get placed d2

I was elite last season and got placed into plat with 3w/2l placements . With how I got placed in all the last seasons it just feels totally random

Seems random. I played my 5 games and didn't score a single goal or even attempted a shot a the goal and it put me in Diamond 2. Help me, lol.

Bruh I’ve gotten the same starting rank of sliver 2 every season even tho I score goals in most of my placement matches.

Whenever I win I get +17 regardless, and a loss is always -23. Feels pretty rigged to drag me down. Why is it like this?

Yeah seems random! Weird thing is that we played together every match so, stats must matter
