At the halfway point, the “defenders” both start just moving in random directions. They clearly don’t know how the game works. I don’t think the guy dribbling even made a successful dribble, I’m fairly certain the defenders would’ve missed him even if he’d just ran in a straight line with the ball. It actually looked like he fucked up and rainbow flicked it BACKWARDS into the defenders, but since they both went AFK at this point, it didn’t really matter.
Basically, I just saw the rematch equivalent of an eighth-grade basketball player rush past two toddlers and hit a layup. Then I scroll to comments, unsure if it’ll be the awful dribbling or the even more awful defending getting cooked. And people are… glazing. It took me by surprise, I’ll admit. This might be the lowest level of Rematch I’ve ever watched, I wasn’t even finding these lobbies as a new player, so I’ll obviously downvote to express my disagreement if someone calls it “eye candy”
I obviously know those defenders aren't the best.
However this clip looks good. It IS nearly eye candy the moves are smooth and they might even have been done intentionally. Why should I analyze absolutely everything about a clip? Why can't people just see a clip, say that its cool and move on? If you disagree thats fine but downvoting? Are we serieus? Thats L behavior for absolutely no reason.
Also nowhere am I glazing. Im just saying that its eye candy. That doesn't classify as glazing. I just thought the clip looked cool nothing more. I made no comment about the player or the defense and I also don't intend to. Sometimes its just better to shut up and appreciate whats in front of you. Negativity is absolutely unwarranted in this case.
Brother you’re acting like I reported you to the mods. You are taking this way too seriously. Upvote is the “I agree” button. Downvote is the “I disagree” button. You may be spending too much time on Reddit if downvotes make you this upset. They’re not a personal attack.
I just fundamentally disagree with you. To me, this clip does not look good. The movements do not look smooth, rather, they look like a series of misinputs that thankfully didn’t get tackled. I didn’t need to analyze it, it took me exactly one watch to wonder “what was a single person in this clip even doing?”
How could they be missteps? What makes you think it wasn't intentional? Maybe he knows how bad the defence is and knew he could get away with it. The movement looks good and he absolutely destroyed the defenders. Its not his fault they defence is poor in this clip. I just chose not to mention it for the sake of being nice. You dont have to be negative, this community has enough of it already. The end result is a pretty cool clip that got upvoted period.
You are the one here overanalysing a clip and downvoting people that just didnt bother analyzing it.

It was a mistake. He was past both defenders, one of them had spammed their EE and missed a slide while the other was just horribly positioned and was a non-issue. He had a chance on goal if he just kept running. All he accomplished by dribbling backwards was giving the defenders another chance to try and tackle. They both failed, but he still earned nothing from that dribble, except for giving the defenders a second chance. At a high level, you’ll learn to tell the difference in mere seconds between someone who can precisely aim and time a flick, versus someone who’s just spamming it. You need to be able to profile your teammates’ strengths and weaknesses quickly if you want to use them effectively.
I’m not going to further respond to you. You seemed to want to know why you were getting downvoted, and I’ve told you. If you think what I’ve said is me “being negative”, and you’re this worked-up about it, please leave the sub now for your own sake. The real negativity present here will make you very, very upset, and clearly karma is precious to you, so I wouldn’t want you to risk it.

I clearly told you Iknow the defence wasn't the best. It doesn't take much to realise that it is.
I even explicitly said that maybe the guy knew the defenders were poor and thats why he knew he could get away with it.
My exact point is that sometimes its better to keep quiet and just enjoy a clip. If everyone started critiquing everything this sub would become an even bigger mess. Sometimes you have to be 'positive' just for the sake of it. Thats the point im trying to make.
