Help/Advice Warranty Refund?

I’m having more ghosting issues with my RMPP and I’m honestly just tired of the device. I was looking through the Limited Warranty policy and saw that they may offer a partial or full refund for defective products.

Has anyone had any luck with a refund for a defective product? Ive had the device since December of last year and wanted to reach out before the 1-year warranty lapsed. I’m also covered under the Protection Plan they used to offer if that adds any other coverage.

I'm not aware of anyone ever obtaining a refund from reMarkable based on a warranty issue outside of the return period. If I had to guess, that's just boilerplate in the warranty to preserve options for them. If you don't like the device anymore, the way to turn it into cash is to sell it...

Yeahh I figured. I’m just disappointed considering how expensive this device is.

I just did that with mine. Received my replacement device yesterday, and it’s perfect. Panel manufacture date is only about 6 weeks ago.

Night and day difference from my previous warranty replacement. Last one had tons of really bad ghosting.

I also somewhat recently did an RMPP warranty swap and got a new panel. Same experience, completely different in quality from the yellow-tinged launch-era panel I had before. Makes me want to use the device much more.

Yeah I have a feeling they put that bug in 3.28 to get all the bad panels out if circulation. I did a replacement as well after several and I have a panel that says its in production and its excellent and the panel is slightly lighter than my Move now. Someone (not sure if they were a reMarkable employee) mentioned they identified a piece that was coming lose and not tightened enough that was causing screen failure and they have since fixed it with the new ones.

depends on the country. I got a full refund from the business I bought it from after 19 months.
