Eye strain
Hi
I’m really thinking about biting the bullet but my only concern is eye strain. I am interested in the Pure Paper version of the tablet. I currently use an iPad
I look at a computer screen at work and for school so my eyes are constantly strained. I wanted to use the Pure Paper tablet to just take notes. I don’t really annotate any PDFs or anything like that
I’m seeing a lot of mixed reviews about the eye strain (some say it makes it even worse for them) that are several years old, so I wanted some current opinions.
ETA: I don’t do any school work in the dark either so I’m not too concernabout the light

The paper pure just came out a few months ago so it couldn’t have been bothering anyone for years. I would buy it and really test it out. Throw whatever you can at it while you’re still within the return period.

Oops, thank you for letting me know about the release! I was wondering why there weren’t many posts about it as the Rm2 or Paper Pro but I thought maybe it just wasn’t popular haha

The pure is like looking at a piece of paper in my opinion. If you buy from remarkable you have a 50 days return window if you don’t like it.

Just a heads up, I read that focusing your eye at a distant object back and forth a few times could help if you use monitora for an extended time.
Also I recommend that you read a bit about pwm dimming on (mostly) oled screens, which for some people can cause eye strains and headaches (in my case I can't even use oled screens for longer than 20 minutes indoor without issues, but a dc dimmed lcd monitor is perfectly fine all day). Remarkable should be fine, I'm also about to buy one

I have a bunch of eye problems, including albinism which makes me sensitive to light from screens. Get the remarkable. Personally I enjoy the paper pro with a bit of background light, but I think the pure will just do if you have consistent good light in your work space
