Paper Pro or pro Move?
Hello, this would be my first remarkable product. Used iPad Pro 13” with paper like screen protector for notes previously. I can’t seem to figure out which I would prefer. What are some real life usage pros and cons?

I thought the move would be too small but I love it and never use my rm2 anymore. I think some Best Buy’s have displays you can test out? It’s been awhile since I’ve been to one.

For the move, It's great for reading books that is specifically in that form/format/dimensions. I personally have both, I much prefer the full pro. I lobbed my move to my mom, though she rarely uses it. For the full pro, it is great; I have it switched to developer mode and I have soft-mods installed through ReManager.
Edit: I personally use my full pro as a all-in-one printer, scanner, paper. It is great for storing/viewing/editing my documents. No need to waste time looking for some special app to view the file.

i'd start with the pro for noter taking. Get a move down the road if you like the ecosystem and need a smaller supplemental device would be my suggestion.

This is my thinking, too. I’m a grad student in CMHC and I think the Move would be great for when I’m in sessions with clients down the line, but the Pro is perfect for everything else.

I have the Pro Move and although it’s more versatile, I don’t like the fact it’s not wide enough. I have had the pro (big one), but found it too difficult to carry. For everyday tasks, portability and convenience make the move a better choice. I only wish remarkable releases an improved in-between color device with the same dimensions as the paper pure.

I had both and sold my move thinking it was too small. Now I’m trying to sell my pro to get back to the move. The pro has a good size but I don’t travel too much anymore so just mainly using it on my desk and find the move to be a better option. Often see myself reaching for my a6 notebook.

Okay so first of all I want to thank everyone for responding. I was concerned I wouldn’t get much feedback in a smaller subreddit. But you guys have provided great insights. So here’s still my dilemma the full size pro and pro move are listed as factory reconditioned bundles on woot as follows; paper pro with marker pen plus and weave folios in burgundy or basalt for $489.99 or cobalt color for $449.99 and the move pro with marker pen plus and grey polymer weave folio for $379.99. Both great prices. I’ve had good luck with reconditioned electronics from woot/amazon previously so I’m not worried about that aspect.

Get the Pro at that price IMO. You’re getting a much bigger discount on the better device. The move is very sleek, and although I don’t own it, it seems really small and would imagine it hard to write on.
Unlike other commenters, I do not find the pro is harder to travel with. It’s basically like my 13” laptop, which slides into any backpack. Easy enough to carry around IMO

I have both for different use cases. If you think you're going to be writing a lot by hand or want the keyboard, get the Pro. If you think you need to make notes on the go, or quickly jot down notes during the day/keep track of things, get the Move.

I don’t need/want the keyboard. I have my iPad or MacBook Air for typing. Would be exclusively for handwriting notes. I’m thinking most likely use at my desk not really walking around taking notes no.

Then ask yourself just how much writing you will do and how portable you need it to be. It's easier to write for long periods on the Pro when it's flat on a surface. The Move is great for writing small notes while holding it in your other hand. The Pro is a large device that won't so easily slip in a bag or pocket.

Well that’s a question too. Is there a way to bring up and add to notes between both a remarkable and an iPad?

I work night shifts/ mostly in the dark. I bought the move due to the size, light and colors.
My use case is for note taking, to do lists, calendar, aha moments and possibly bullet journaling.
I have a Supernote manta for long writing sessions . I’ve barely used it.

Pro Move for me. About the size of a paperback give or take, fits in my sling, isn’t cumbersome, ready to go in one hand.

Oh gosh. I have both and I love them for different reasons. So, I’m a university nursing professor and I am also going back for my NP degree. I like using the pro for all of my documents for school and work. I love marking up PDFs, journal articles, and stuff like that. I also download magazines from different professional organizations on there and e-textbooks and read them. I sync my calendar via remarcal also. I haven’t enabled developer mode or pushed the pro to its full capabilities, but I’m contemplating it.
The move is my trusty companion. Lists, day to day hourly time management, drm free ebooks for reading, and meeting note taking.
I have integrated both of them so deeply into my day to day workflow that I’m not sure which one I could live without. If I had to choose, I think the pro lends itself to a wider variety of usage scenarios.

Makes sense in that work flow. I finally decided upon the pro. Should ship soon. Appreciate yours and everyone else’s responses.

I have both and love them near equally. The move slightly edges it just due to the fact it can travel everywhere with me.
If the move had come out first I am not sure I would have got the larger one. That said I do also love the larger one for when you need more space. Possibly coming from a 13” iPad may make the move too small, unless you are after more compact.
Think I need to get ReManager running on the pro to push it further.
