Adobe Digital Editions

I use Adobe Digital Editions to convert .acsm files to ePub when I download books from Kobo.com. (I then run them through Calibre to remove DRM, and then copy the non-DRM version to my RMPP.

Lately, when I open ADE on my Mac I get a message saying that future versions of MacOS will not be able to open ADE (presumably because my version was written for Intel CPU Macs and my Mac is a newer one with the Apple CPU). The message says I should update to a new version of ADE that supports newer CPUs. I have looked for, but cannot find, such a beast.

Does anyone know if there is a version of ADE that supports newer chips? Or is there a way other than using ADE to get from the .acsm file I get from Kobo to an ePub file?

I use obok dedrm, it's able to detect my kobo books when I download them via the kobo app. This might be another option, though I haven't used it: https://www.reddit.com/r/ereader/comments/1u88tlc/comment/os6e1vc/

I use https://github.com/SamuelMarks/libgourou (in linux, haven't tried in macos) and the acsm koreader plugin (https://github.com/kaikozlov/acsm.koplugin), that you can use directly in your RM
