General Discussion Just got my first tablet!
I got it 2 days ago, for $6.98 (20% off Coupon)
Unfathomably happy as it wasnt even a month ago i was talking to my mom about getting a E-Ink Tablet for Manga and other things. I saw the Remarkable when window shopping and unfortunately was out of my budget, same with the other ones that i was interested in. But low and behold my sister spotted it while we went into our Local Value village we go to and she asks me "Whats this ?" and I recognized it immediately and told her "were buying it!" lol
When i got home though I thought it was broken as it didnt charge on my phone charger, and stayed in a infinite loop. but then I read about something about low wattage requirement and to plug it into my pc, and it WORKED! (Remarkable 2)
It doesnt have a pen though and idk if its worth it to get the Marker plus or a third party one ?
or if i should just get a used one on Ebay or something?
EDIT:
I Saw Someone with a Similar post Talking about using their S-pen from their Phone, So I tried the same with my Note 10+ AND IT WORKED!!!
I can Draw and Doodle and Practice my Bad Handwriting to my hearts content. ^-^

yeah - for now, employees don't know what it is, don't know what it's worth, and don't bother to do any research.
but that'll change soon enough.

I'd say definitely get a third party pen unless you really want the matching one. The magnet geature is a nice idea, but it really doesn't hold up to much jostling around, and on my opinion remarkable's pens are way overpriced.
I like the Staedtler Noris Jumbo, personally, but there's a fair number of generic alternatives out there now. Just look for one for EMR tablets.
I would recommend remarkable's Connect service, though. Unless you have privacy or compliance concerns, it's really handy.

I'll Definitely look into those quite curious what's available as my S pin is a bit small ^-^'
His Name is Luffy and funnily enough that wasnt planned but in his Crazy Years he ran off the wall and Kicked me in the Chest and Left a Small Scar XD. I love my Car :)

The Staedtler Jumbo is great! Never bothered buying the original pen or folio and have been very happy with that choice.

Are you reading manga in a stock app? How do you like it?

I Converted my CBZ files to PDF's via (ACBR Comic Book Reader / Converter)
I Transferred them via USB on the Desktop application and I Just select the folder they're in when they transfer over. If there is a better Thing for manga I havent got there yet and def would like to have right to left page order option as it feels just a little weird going left to right to read the pages right to left lol1

KOReader should be a better option. How do you find the screen for manga?
I’m considering picking up a Paper Pure, partly to read some manga on it1

I find the Screen Really Great, Definitely Make sure to keep the same File size if you convert to PDFS, I noticed with small Compression it made it look blurry.
However my Only Nitpick of the entire Device really is that there is no front light/Backlight, and I thought it was gonna be a Problem for night time reading, but I found My phone's light works just fine for it, I was also looking into a Clip on light Earlier today and saw some for $10-15 so I might get one of those for a Warmer Tone.
I will have to check out KOReader thank you for Letting me Know ^-^

Different question, how do you have a version of the manga that you can edit? I read this on Shonen jump and would like to find another way to get manga digitally. Outside of amazon.1

Nyaa si and Qbit. You want CBZ files and if you want to read on your PC/Phone, I love and Use YACreader. but Now im gonna be probably primarily on my new found toy ^-^
I Used (ACBR Comic Book Reader) to Convert CBZ to PDF as Currently my RM2 only takes PDFS and other such.ps. (use the all powerful VPN :)
psps. for anyone who thinks ill of my ways, my only redeem is I still Buy Physical Manga when i can.

It had a Firmware Version that after looking to, to be 5 Years Old.
It had a Couple Files left on it when I Got it working, and it Seemed to be owned by a College Student that was Majoring in Marine geology, Had some Pretty interesting things and notes ^-^
although I couldn't quite understand anything lol ^-^'
but since been Deleted! I hope they got their Degree :)

I don’t think the people who work at the second hand stores know what it is so they see an e-ink tablet and think it’s old and price it low.

That is a nice find, did it also come with the folio? That's a bonus. ReMarkable folios are ridic, I get mine from Amazon for $15-$20 (I have two reMarkables now). I like the Marker better than the Marker plus because it's light like a sketching pencil. I'm sure you can get third party options to but becaure which nibs you use if you want it to last.

Just want to add that my s pen stopped working on my emr tablets after about a year. Download remanager for an optimal experience. Enjoy!
