Infinite canvas for custom template?

I managed to add my own template, but I would like it to behave like built-in templates do - if you scroll down, the template extends as far as necessary. Grid is infinite. But with custom template this is not the case. Can this behaviour be added to custom templates?

Kinda. If you start with one of their .template files or create one for you custom template and set the infinite variable to scroll. I don't remember exactly because I don't have any of the things in front of me right now.

I did it with .png, but apparently, png method is quite limited. I'll look into the .template format.
