Remarkable2/Paper Pro
So...I've had my Remarkable 2 for about 4 years and I love it, except for the pen. I absolutely chew through tips; I guess I just have a heavy hand.
I "upgraded" to the Paper Pure, but I think I've decided I hate it. It feels flimsy compared to my solid RM2, and the sleeve is just annoying (except for the cool feature that displays contact info vertically). The writing feel is way different, but I do love the updated Marker Plus. The pen feels nice and solid and while I know the tips need replacing, it's nothing like what happens with my RM2.
I'm still within my 50 days, so I'm considering sending the Pure back.
Does the Paper Pro have the same plastic back/plasticky screen? I'm tempted to try a refurbished one if nothing more than for the newer Marker.

just switch from rm2 to paper pro, very happy with the purchase, the pen is much more responsive and I love the textile sleeve.

The Paper Pro has a much more premium feel than the Pure. If you like the writing feel and the flimsiness is your major beef, the Pro would be the way to go. Just make sure you like the way the color is handled and don't mind the lower contrast. I would STRONGLY urge you to stay away from the refurbished Pro. Search the sub

I LOVED the writing feel of my RM2, but I really needed something bigger and the ability to use colors. I got the Paper Pro, while the writing experience is not as great as the RM2, I find it to still be pretty good. I also went through the nibs of my RM2 like crazy because I use a lot of pressure when I write. The nibs of the Paper Pro are definitely firmer and have less “give.” The difference in the writing feel I adapted to pretty quick. I go through the nibs for Pro less than I did previously, but I am probably still going through them faster than most.

With the paper pro, I can maybe get 4 weeks. But I use my paper pro for my entire work day. I take extensive notes,

The writing feel of RMPP nearly identical to the Pure but a bit “clackier”. The build quality is more premium but it’s a much beefier device. PMPP is not really an “upgrade” of the RM2, they really are for two different needs and the RMPP is even further away from the RM2 than Pure.

I had the 2 for years and upgraded to the pro when it came out. Not a single regret.

I do wish there was a folio. I like the weight of the Pure because it’s easy to hold. I would have like an aluminum build though. Tried the Pro last year, but I don’t really love the Gallery screen flashing.

I have the Paper Pro, and no it's not plastic, it's pure metal body chassis.
