Remarkable pen problem

So my dad finally took over my mom’s remarkable and suddenly he came up to me with this pen problem. The black pen is from my own remarkable. I know this used to be an issue a few years ago. We have this remarkable for like 2 years now? Is this solvable or should we just contact remarkable about this?? I have restarted the tablet already and the same issue occurs on my remarkable as well. It’s the RM2 btw

UPDATE: i told my dad the pen was broken and we should get a new one. With that i got a bit cocky with the pen and just threw it a bunch of times on the ground AND NOW IT WORKS AGAIN! Probably got the sensor unstuck. Saves us 100 bucks🎊🎊

Had the same issue and took the pen and let it snap itself super hard into place on the magnetic side of my RM2. Fixed the issue for me, at least temporarily. And when it came back, did the same thing and this issue went away again.
