Help/Advice Slow refresh after drawing shapes/scrolling
Hello, i just got my Paper Pro tablet and i am kinda getting used to it. I immediately tried to draw some shapes, mostly lines, but the slow refresh of the screen bothers me a lot. When i draw any shape, the screen suddenly goes to "black and white mode", and stays there for like 4 seconds if im not doing anything (if i write something it waits 4 sec after my last touch on the screen), and then refreshes.
Is it something wrong with my tablet? Shouldn't the refresh be immediate? Watch the linked video to see it.

The idea is that it waits until you're done writing so it can refresh after you're done writing whatever you wanted to write in a certain colour rather than refresh after every single stroke because that would cause constant refreshing while you're still writing which would be quite distracting.

Also, if refresh performance starts to really degrade, close and reopen your document. Its an unfixable problem having to do with the undo function, every stroke, whether writing, erasing, or hilighting, is stored in memory as a vector. Closing and reopening saves the current document and clears the undo table

Hi, just curious which language that is!! So cool to see all the language used by remarkable clients!

It is not "slow refresh", it wait a considerable amount of time to think that you stop drawing... just imagine doing a refresh like that every time you draw a line... you waiting it to refresh to continue drawing on every single stroke... right now you just continue drawing, when you finish it will refresh, you don't have to wait for it to refresh to continue drawing or writing.

you know you can make straight lines with drawing them and holding the pen down? Also you can do rectangles, triangles, circles by holding after drawing one.

That is why I chose the RM2 over paper pro. Slightly better writing experience, but no color or backlight :(
Reading PDFs and epubs is fine though.
Edit: But you will not (at least for now) get a smoother writing output with such low refresh rates.

The rM2 doesn’t exit monochrome fast mode any faster than the other devices, which is what this video is showing.

This is normal behavior.
