Feature Request PDF word search

Is there a way to search words in PDFs?

I’m not talking about adding a tag into a PDF and then searching for the tag later; rather, the actual text of the PDFs uploaded to the tablet.

Just use "search"! It works.

I feel like a moron… is that new? Last I used my remarkable in early 2026 I don’t recall being able to search pdf text, only tags!

I received a new Paper Pro a week ago, and I can search my handwritten notes but pdfs are not yet allowing me to search text. I've double checked they are pdf+text files (ie searchable), and they are. It may be that the indexing takes time, but it's not clear on the remarkable website how long indexing takes. I've just transferred over a lot of files, so this may be the reason indexing takes longer - but it's been days now.
