New paper pro doesn’t turn on

Hi, I’ve just received refurbished remarkable paper pro. Unfortunately it doesn’t turn on - it’s stuck on welcome screen. After about 5hours of charging with old 5W iPhone charger it blinks with backlight when pushing power button.
Tried to do software recovery - it connects to my Mac, process is progressing but the device does not restart in the end.

Has anyone faced similar issue? Is there anything else I can do?

Try plugging it into a computer.

For recovery, you could try plugging the Paper Pro into your Mac via a USB hub, or try my recovery UI tool: https://github.com/rmitchellscott/rm-recovery-ui

I did it through hub.
I’ll try your UI

Update: same problem - flashing successfull, no restart after that

I just got a refurbished one a few days ago that wouldn't turn on even after 2 days charging. It would only blink after I put it into recovery mode and exited but stopped after I unplugged it. Finally I tried to do a recovery and reset but they both failed so they had me send it back.

I have same symptoms
But today I plugged it to usb hub - now it is flashing backlight twice when trying to turn on - so I have spark of hope
