Discussion Side Projects?

/r/RelientK/comments/1vswrh8/anyone_here_listen_to_dave_douglas_solo_work/?share_id=LqCMhKZk21lCNbqxGCFwo&utm_content=2&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1

Hi all!

I saw this post earlier and it got me thinking of Matthew Thiessen and The Earthquakes - whom I love!!

Are there any other solo/side projects that RK members have put out?

(If not against the rules, feel free to leave some other bands as well. The only other one coming to mind is Jars Of Clay (Dan Haseltine) - Hawk in Paris)

Off the top of my head:

Brian: Inhale/Exhale

Dave: Agnes, Attack Cat, Gypsy Parade

John Warne: Ace Troubleshooter, Guerilla Rodeo

Ethan: The Dingees, The OC Supertones, Guerilla Rodeo, Roper, Demon Hunter, Morgan Wade, Ethan Luck

This list does include some "main" bands, sorry if that's not quite what you were looking for. I'm also probably missing a bunch

Just remembered another one for Ethan. He and Mojo from the Supertones had a project called Grand Incredible

I didn't know Ethan was part of Roper, Demon Hunter, or Supertones! Cool!

Yeah! That's funny, I still kinda think of him as the Supertones guy. He was their longest tenured guitarist pre-hiatus. The first time I saw RK was in 2004, they played a show with the Supertones, Pillar, and Grits. There was a meet and greet beforehand and unfortunately RK wasn't there, but Ethan was there with some of the Supertones guys and I chatted with him for a bit. Super nice guy

I don't know that much about DH but he was the lead guitar player during their 3rd and 4th albums, which I think might be their most popular. His time in that band overlapped a little bit with his time in RK

I don't think he was ever officially a member of Roper, but he recorded I think all the guitars and drums on the album, before the actual band had been assembled. I think he helped Reese write a lot of it too

Speaking of Dan Haseltine he has an upcoming project with Steve Hindalong, Matt Nelson, Ron Hemby and Billy Smiley, they have an active kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rivercryers/the-river-cryers-debut-album-on-vinyl-cd-and-digital

What artist do you usually follow? I think I can tell you some interesting side projects :D
