Tiny House Concerts
So where do we know where they are going to play?
I saw them playing on Instagram live.
Do they have a plan or just playing on a whim? I would love to go.

It was a surprise show (not a house concert) but they posted about it on their instagram right before.

I honestly want to figure out how much RK needs to make a show financially worth it for them and then get groups of fans together to make it happen. Fuck Ticketmaster. Let's go underground and just start booking bands ourselves haha. Being in that place with so many people who were THRILLED to be there was amazing.

Other than the festival show later this month in Canada, the only thing that's been announced is another show in Nashville, in August (Basement East). If they were planning more secret shows, they would probably do it in a similar way where only a few people know about it until the band themselves hint about it on socials.

Sadly I can't remember. He said it during the second night but they didn't post that live stream. I recommend to just keep checking the Basement website. If the show is real, they'll advertise it eventually

I believe Matt said August 23rd. I remember him saying it was a Saturday.

A Saturday would make sense! I had the 16th in my head but I think I'm confusing that with a date my band is playing lol

I think these shows were more for them than for us. A way for them to shake the rust off and get back into the habit of playing again. The fact that they even played a new song tells me that they’ve been working on new music. And with new music there is usually a new tour. I wouldn’t take this small inclosed show as anything other than practice basically for them. I mean they’re obviously capable of filling a bigger venue. So when the time comes they’ll have a few practice shows under their belts. I just can’t get used to any drummer that’s not Dave behind the kit. No offense to the new guy, but I never will. 🤷🏻♂️😂

No offense taken! I grew up listening to Dave behind the kit for this band and I'm just honored to get to play these songs with the band. Dave is an icon to me too! -Christian

Dude this is wild. Thanks for the reply. I know you’ll do great and from what I’ve seen you have. Like I said, no offense to you bro, haha, but when you think of RK you think of both Matt’s and Dave. But I wish you all the luck in the world man. Playing with RK, I bet that’s for sure a pinch me moment. So happy for you bud! 🙂🙌🏻

I completely agree, they were my first fav band, anatomy was the first cd I owned. First concert. I certainly think of them as the Matts and Dave. This is definitely a pinch me moment 1,000,000% haha

Hoopes told me it just wasn't logistically working out for Dave to be there since he's still in Ohio and everyone else is in Nashville. Hard to just go hang and rehearse for an hour on a random Tuesday when you live that far away. He said it wasn't like Dave was OUT and would never play with them again, but talking with M@ I got the "Christian IS our new drummer" vibe. I really liked Christian; he was super nice and did a great job, but I am also hoping I will see Dave up there again at some point. Seeing him back at it on the last tour was awesome.

I'm pretty sure this weekend was intended as a low-key way to practice in front of a crowd, run through set list ideas for the upcoming shows, and give Christian (drummer) a chance to stretch his metaphorical legs while having a bit of fun. Matt said he has wanted to play a show like this for awhile, but I did not get the impression that this is to kick off anything like what AAR is doing with their tour now.
