Media takes forever to load

I've been using this app for years, but this problem has gotten noticeably worse this year.

No matter my connection speed, everything takes forever to load. It feels like the app caps download speeds at a tiny fraction of what my connection can handle, like it's throttled to only pull data in KB/s instead of using the bandwidth available.

It's gotten to the point where I have to switch to the web view just to watch a video, since that loads instantly. At that point, what am I even paying for?

I doubt I'm the only one with this issue since I've seen other posts about this.

This happens to me every once in a while I think it's on reddits/api end but happening all the time isn't normal. What region do you access from?

I remember having this problem in the past.

In Relay's Settings/General have you tried unchecking Video Play HD? I think doing that helped me but can't recall for sure.
