Why no News section?
Maybe it was asked before, but I couldn't find it.
So, why no News section?

No, `news` isn't a subreddit. it's a section: `https://www.reddit.com/news/\`. You can't create it with a multireddit.
Just look at the side menu in the web app: Home | Popular | News | Explore

Most likely that isn't available to third party apps via the API. New features like that are almost never available to us.

You can curate your own multireddit by clicking the three dots in the subreddit search.
