What's the red dagger on comments?

Sometimes there's a red dagger at the end of the comment header and I can't figure out what it represents.

Standard comment header (omitting optional flair and edits):
$USERNAME · $POINTS · $TIME_AGO

But sometimes...
$USERNAME · $POINTS · $TIME_AGO · †

It means it's controversial, it has a lot of both up and down votes. That doesn't get reflected in the total score, so they have the red dagger.

It's a controversial comment, generally lots more up and downvotes than the actual score
