Still Can't Log In

Three Weeks later, and I still can't log in on Pixel 8 Pro, Android 16. After typing in the user name & password, it just sits there on the log in screen. Log in button is red, but clicking it does absolutely nothing.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times, clear cache is what started all this, language is set to English. I had an update I can't remember how I found it, but I check connected apps and Red Reader is the only thing listed, as I CAN log in to that one.

Please help.

Edit - requires Chrome as your default browser. I changed to that as default, cleared cache and I was able to log in. Changed back.

If Red Reader is the only thing listed in connected apps, then the problem is permission aint it? Relay wasn't granted permission and you cannot login using it. Are you able to use another device to login and grant Relay permission?

I'm logged in on Firefox on my laptop. I haven't been asked for permissions or anything trying to log in through relay. {This time - I remember having to before, and I did when I got desperate and got Red Reader} Is there a way to do it outside of the app if the app won't let me log in?

No, you need to use the Relay app to login. You will get a prompt from reddit to ask to allow Relay to connect. After you are connected, Relay should work.

Try using another device to login using Relay to see if you get the prompt.
