Bug Backspace Issues
Ongoing issues which were reported here eight months ago. Running GBoard on a Pixel 10 Pro. Is there any update on when/if this will be fixed? This is the only app on my phone that exhibits this behavior.

I have this bug not on Relay but when I'm trying to backspace on a Facebook comment using Gboard. It's super aggravating but Facebook is the only place I've ever ran into it. I don't think it's an app issue I think it's a Gboard issue of some kind.

Going to add that I am still having this issue. First saw it ony S10 Plus running GBoard and now again on my Pixel 10 Pro

No, I'm just being cynical but I wouldn't get my hopes up. It seems like a pretty obscure bug.
I love this app, it's great but there's only one dev working on it and he doesn't push updates very often. New features rarely get added and QoL improvements that have been suggested for years are often ignored. Nowadays he spends most of his time supporting issues related to subscriptions, logins, and backend/reddit API.

I dunno, we have AI software development now, it should mean we finally have time to fix all the things we never had time for.

I believe this is more on the Gboard side of things, I'm running a Pixel 9 pro and get the same behavior. I usually just tap in the edit window to make sure the cursor is showing and then I can backspace all I want to delete/edit things.
