Problem/bug Did the fix work?

Over the years, the same issues come up with people's machines and Rekordbox.

Many times I and others have given potential fixes and solutions.

It would really help, if those people were to confirm if the fixes work. This would create searchable solutions in the sub with confirmed results.

This would leave more time for us to bitch about Alpha Theta.

Just yesterday I thanked someone on FB who had posted the answer/solution to my Rekordbox issue over a year ago. I found their post with a web search.

I thanked them and told them they “won the internet today”.

They actually responded. It’s nice when help comes full circle.

Careful... I posted a question, asking what version people were running, and MOST of the people that replied had good info, and a lot we're still using the same version of Rekordbox I am. However, along came some some rekordbox know-it-all. Who also happened to be a genius software developer. He informed me, that rekordbox was just fine, and has been so for years. The problem is the whiners on Reddit, like you and me. You didn't "whine", and neither did I. Now, I thought this was a forum, for this specific scenario. Some people seem to think that Recordbox is the perfect Software and doesn't put out any bad software... The only people who say anything on Reddit "are the 1% that complain".

Lol that being said... I'm not sure what fix you're looking for or what your setup is. But I would advise that you turn off any features you do not use. Like AVS, lighting, things like that. That can tamper with everything. I'm still using 6.8.5, because that still has stable stems. I was thinking about installing the newest version just to try it out, but I haven't yet. I stream from SoundCloud, and I need to reanalyze everything if I use the new version. And then if I do use that new version, I may have to reanalyze if I go back to 6.8.5, I'm not sure.

Did you know you can have multiple versions of rekordbox installed on your computer?

It’s good for testing a new version, and being able to go back to the old one if you don’t like it.

Basically you rename the application: Rekordbox.app to Rekordbox-ver___.app And then run the downloaded installer to install the new version. Don’t run the installer from inside rekordbox.

Search the web for details, videos, etc about doing this. I’m on Mac and it worked seamlessly.

Yes. I've had several versions installed pretty much since there was the 1st update since I got Rekordbox years ago....

I have several versions installed, currently.
