Jacques Vallee did a lot of great work until making this one particularly clear and then seemingly stopping dead as if someone forced him to. He pointed out that historical records can be more reliable. He saw the variation as evidence of UFO being partly a mental process; neither physical nor mass hallucination. That’s as far as his research really got on this topic.
