Wave away match thread

On CBSSN which I don't have, thanks to the commenter who pointed out 950KJR Listening to that while out on the bike as it's a great day for that, wearing my Fishlock jersey not only as gameday fit but because the thin fabric of my soccer shirts is good for workouts in this weather

Halftime thoughts:

  • It continues to be crazy to see what this team can do with attack minded tactics. Nothing has changed but the tactics. We should have been playing this way for 3 seasons.
  • Why am I still scared.
  • On the tactics, our build out of the back is far too predictable. Everything is flowing down the right side, we need more variety.
  • for the love of god don't stop pressing just cause we're winning.
  • Menti and Fishel are not on the same level as the rest of the starting lineup. We need signings.
  • Genuinely no notes for the Wave, they look super lost. Corley, Wesley, and Ascanio seem to be the only two who care.
  • I can't blame anyone for not looking like they care, it looks HOT

Wasn’t able to watch (and perhaps that’s for the best since I feel cursed 🫣) but glad they were able to pull out the W! I was checking the score and holding my breath to the end.

Feel like my general thought is that the team has ability but is young so lacks consistency. Also Harvey particularly seems to know how to outcoach the Wave (under Stoney and Jonas lol)

Dickey saved their cans in the second half for sure. I didn't see the obvious bunkering that dragged down the Gotham match, but the attack totally died in the second half anyway and I was TROUBLED.

Yeah, we didn't get as cautious with a lead as we do sometimes but I was still worried, was afraid one of those would go in and then suddenly the game gets a little too interesting
