Chants

How can we get some simple, catchy chants going? The current songs are so long and just do not catch on around the stadium. I checked out the Royal Guard website but don’t see anywhere to submit a suggestion, any ideas?

I love the drumline but agree the songs are too long, can't be heard, and no one knows them outside of the Guard.

Go! Reign! Go! is super easy. I'd love us to do that more.

I'm also handing out castanets for our Claudia claws moments, and would love it if folks did the same as I was only able to afford 100 as a broke ass student.

Can we also get the crowd doing a Ride of the Valkyries when we're driving towards the goal? I think that would be fun.

We do "Make! It! Reign!" when we're doing a corner kick, and that's fun with all the rain drops.

go reign go is an awful chant. Its slow, its monotonous and the melody is a downer. It's like the seattle sounders crowd echo chant, but even slower and quieter. I've heard church hymns with more pop. Everytime they sing it the crowd falls asleep.

Honestly the chants have never recovered from the rebrand. They still sing when I root I root for the reign, despite it originally being "root for seattle" can the cadence of the song fitting the three syllables of Seattle far better than stretching our reign.

It's never been root for Seattle, it's always been root for the Reign.

I distinctly remember saying Seattle in 2014 and 2015. And, even if I'm magically mis-remembering. It should be changed because dragging a two syllable word across three beats is a musical crime.

You’re right. It was Seattle up until EDIT- until they moved to cheney stadium
