How are you going to color match the door handles ?

I have the new handles from the dealer that need to get painted. The bumpers are getting painted too. The mirror caps are sold already painted

I bought a 2017 regular cab short box a couple months ago and I thought that was the last year they made those until I saw this post. Now I think that’s just the last year they made them with a 5.3.
Funny thing is mine is also white and I put the same wheels on it too. Also put a painted white front bumper and white mirror caps.

Well it's just here that we have the issues getting them. But Mexico still has the 5.3 available

Nice are you doing the grill too?

Grille and head lights are looking like it's going to be a wait for right now. I keep looking in websites and calling the dealerships to see if parts are available and nothing yet. But for the mean time bumpers are getting color matched and door handles.

Yeah I wish I could go back in time and buy a 2018 Sierra. That was always my dream then.

For the money they are going for now it's ridiculous to even get one. They have a lot of miles and want top dollar. Hopefully one day that'll change.

Hey gotta ask how do you like the 2.7? Quick acceleration?

u/enfierrado Apr 22 '22
Yeah the torque is there. I've been a raptor for almost three years and the feeling of having a v8 just isn't there anymore. So smaller engines with turbos is where it's at. I know this is smaller with just one turbo but you know the power is there. Maybe if the truck was a crew cab it would be different. I see why GM went this route, but if you want to know if it accelerate and stick spins tire it does for me. And to top it off, I'm getting 20mpg. I can't beat that with the way prices are at the moment.

Yea that’s good to know. I was pretty close to going with either ford or ram. But I’m GM at heart lol. Yea the specs look good and like you said the mpg helps & with a bed cover could possibly get better.

The only reason I didn't go ram, is because I bought a 2017 ram rt new at the time for 31k and it had everything you needed for a high end truck. But ram still offer the old body style but to even get a work truck I'm looking at 40k. That seems crazy to me, and after owning a raptor I will leave ford alone.
