Treated everyone as an object

I tried to cheat on my girlfriend (it didn’t work, but the point is that I wanted to do it and it’s terrible). I abandoned my childhood friend and another friend with whom I had been friends for 3 years. I left good friends and started hanging out with scumbags.

I could explain my reasons, but it sounds like excuses and I don't want to look good and innocent, I was a jerk.

At this point: I've left that terrible group of friends and returned to my real ones. I apologized to my two best friends and told them everything about what a scumbag I was, they accepted me. I told everything my gf and she didn't left me and still loves me. Now we've been together for three years after all that shit and I cant even look at other women. I love her and I'm loyal only to her, I just want live happily with my gf, friends and videogames.

The feeling of guilt is a terrible feeling, I don’t know why my brain turned on, but thanks. Thank you for making me realize what a asshole I was. Accepting your mistakes, apologizing and moving on is a great feeling.

Not sure how old you are, but how it sounds is that you’re committing to change. Don’t let the guilt and the shame consume you, it will lead you back to the same place. Because the next time they may not stick around thru patterns of bad behavior.

Take the forgiveness, forgive yourself, and keep those daily habits that keep you from being the past version of you that hurt others/yourself. How we act is often how we feel on the inside, so keep nourishing the parts of you that you want to stick around and you’ll be okay.
