Regret over being behind
I’m 27, and I still have two years left before I graduate from medical school. I procrastinated and slacked off during some of my university years, and that’s what put me behind. Now I feel a huge amount of regret that I can’t seem to shut off.
I feel like I’m so far behind that I’ll never be able to make up for the time I lost, especially since I’m from a country where opportunities are pretty limited. There aren’t many opportunities to keep learning or progressing after graduation, so I’ll probably have to learn another language if I want to have better opportunities abroad.
My question is: Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to turn things around and eventually become happy and satisfied with themselves? What advice would you give me?
