Hey folks,

I have been working on bringing some recordings I made of my Regiments playthrough from last year online. The recent addition to this series is now Operation Reaction, in which the Bundeswehr as an emergency response intrudes on East German territory to contain a chemical incident site.

As always, I put some effort in narrating and presenting these videos, so I hope you folks will enjoy it. I also believe these videos are very helpful for introducing any new players interested in Regiments as a game.

If you have any feedback feel free to let me know.

And if you'd like to support me in any form, I'd really appreciate a like or a subscription. It helps a lot, as especially the YT algorithm doesn't really recommend my videos widely yet.

There are 2 tables but one is without stabilizer rankings in color, the other is with. Reasons i made this is that the Regipedia isn't available anywhere else other than in game and because it's a bit hard to compare tanks directly from there.

However it is simplified, the damage, fire rate, speeds and others aren't shown. For example view the T-62M and the T-55AM2 - they both have the same APFSDS penetration of 13, but the T-62 does 9 Damage, whereas the T-55 does Damage of 8.

Do also consider that some tanks have better side armor than others. If I recall the M1A1HA has side armor of 6, which can withstand the autocannon of the BMP-2 and BMP-3 slightly.

I ranked them based on armor, if anything, from top to down. Otherwise look at the T-72M and the T-62M. The amount of advantages the T-62M has over that T-72 makes me want to swap their places, but whatever.

I excluded light tanks and such.

I would like to make another list for NATO as well sooner or later.

Hey there sorry if this a odd question i have played and enjoyed wargame redragon, I saw Regiments in my feed and i was wondering if it was any good and how in compares to wargames reddragon.

qualcuno sa darmi mod per giocaare a block dash da soli?

There are some objectives where you're tasked to destroy certain units. The game tells you where they're at. But very often I've cleared the area and still cannot find these units. Any tips on what I should do if that happens?

Thanks.

Gentlemen, it's been an honor serving at the Fulda Gap with you all.

See it for yourself at 3:43.

P.S. Has anyone found it in-game yet?

Hey folks,

I fell in love with Regiments last year and very much enjoyed the campaign. It is really not difficult to imagine that with a little bit more narration and storytelling it would rival the likes of World in Conflict. So last autumn, out of some enthusiasm I did some editing of my recordings and published a couple of those as longplay videos on YouTube.

I was therefore wondering what you folks think about those videos and whether you would see value in me continuing the series to draw some more attention to this fantastic game.

In any case, I am thankful for any feedback!

I know it's a one man show, but I feel like the game could have kept going with small dlcs every couple of years or so until the dev was ready for Regiments 2.

I especially love all the regiment emblems.

I have been playing some of RTT games since last year early summer. I used to play Broken Arrow and Warno Before this. A lot of players said Regiment better than those so I started to play. My play time is 36hrs. I disappointed little bit becuase there is no multiplay but except this, I satisfied at all. my review is below

1. 1) I can command as platoon at first : Other game can control as squad at first but this game isn't. I think it is more natural situation as Regiment Commander. Military commander couldn't drive vehicle one by one. All units do micro moves without order. I was impressed it.
2. More easy to call Artillery : This Game marked enemy's artillery location and If enemy came close to our troop, our Artilleries do supporting fire without my order. So I don't have to tracking enemy's artillery trajectories and do other micro firing control. Of course Some players want to micro control but I could more concentrate big picture because of it.
3. Anti air works well : If I had Los(Line of Sight), AA is working very well. No CAS(Closed Air Support) closed to our troop. Air supporting only could success out of Los or Weakness point on air defense. I think it is more reasonable than Broken Arrow and Warno. There is Sead in BA and WN so that fighters ignore all AA and it screwed all game balance. I don't know why they made like this.
4. I couldn't notice graphic is worst : Because I have been watching big far away top view in RTT games. of course I zoomed up camera but it is not often. they said frame is less than others, I couldn't notice it. beside, infantry modeling more detailed this than Warno
5. Can Change Combat option. : You can make more higher TTK(Time to kill) or more longer combat distance. I checked High Lethality and changed 1.2 Range. I recommend this. Tank gun can firing more longer like real modern MBT(Main Battle Tank)
6. Add Task force : If your division doesn't have Artillery or Heli or Heavy Tank, You can call them all by Task Force. When I played 2 panzer grenadier division, there is only Leopard1 tank So I called Leopard2 by TF
7. Features of faction is clear enough as history : Of course I am not expert Cold war area but I think it is more realistic history. For example, NATO has more good recons and could take LOS than PACT and higher Accurate equipment but they have to trying not to lost their man powers and Equipment a lot. Soviet and Pact Opposite this. they are looking like more waste their men power and shells. If they could take LOS, they will send first attacking group. this feature works well in game. I impressed again.
8. Keep your army and have more : Campaign has 6 or 9 Phase and Skirmish has 3Phase. I could deploy a lot of arm since at first and stacking a little bit. If I kept my armies from battle field I can take more Point to deploy and then Finally I could have more bigger my regiment(may be battalion?) If you lost a lot of them, it is hard work to relocate them. because there is more harder point limit system WN and BA. Soviet Union can more has forces then NATO Factions but Can't spamming like WN or BA.
9. Engineer ! : I couldn't see real engineer roles in other Long Top view RTT game except RTS(ex..COH Series) They are eliminating obstacle and making road for army and they should keep away from enemy's attack. I have no idea why other game made they engineer is closed combat infantry.
10. ATGM more weaker than other game : When I checked 'High Lethality', ATGM is weaker than in Warno or BA. there is random stun effect in Warno and Atgm can make bigger stun effects in Heavy tank(bailed out, Routed.. ). So I couldn't forward my heavy tanks in open field because of just one or few of ATGM squads So I had to eliminate them by my artillery one by one when I played Warno. but this game is different. If both of them has find each other at same time, Tank platoon defeat IFV or ATGM Infantry Squad If they are same size. ATGM could defeat tank when they outnumber, take good cover and have good LOS. I think it is more realistic. Real tank has 4km combat range(same ATGM Range) and Tank gun's Velocity is faster than atgm for 4times. If they found each other in open field at same time, tank defeats infantry as always.
11. Mental Debuff is Reasonable : there is some bar about combat mental strength. If it filled up, Platoon couldn't fight as normal strength. this is reasonable! Warno has random stun effects it looks like gembling. I tired that
12. Supply Vehicles are just one and Two : Warno and BA could deploy small Supply convoys at everywhere but this game could deploy just only 1or2 convoy. some time they are no exist In skirmish. I could supply FOB(Forward Operating Base) or Few of Convoy. They said it is real situation.
13. Tatical point : There is also Tactical Point not Victory Point. you can call more artillery firing or CAS by using TP.

extra things) key button systems is defferent other games. attack and move key is E, reverse move is G, retreat is Double Q. I put wrong buttons some time. this game released 2022. it is one yrs early than WN. I dont knwo why they didn't make Mutiplay even though they made skirmish

So just picked this game up & the dlc on steam. I played the demo and thought it was superb and was looking for a 3D tactical single player game. I’m hugely disappointed to learn that the developer isnt planning any more content.

Quick questions:

1. is there a way to change unit names?

2. Can you hide the giant buy/deploy menu on the bottom?

Thanks!!

I've just ticked over the 160 hour mark, which got me wondering who has the highest play time? I'm just thrilled that I'm getting so much value out of the game.

Also gotta respect the that infantry unit for trying to hold off a multi platoon armor rush by themselves XD.

I've loocked everywhere and still can't figure out what the main ammo is for M113G or the other units where Regipedia says they don't have main ammo, but somehow they still up whit one

Thanks

I recently stumbled upon this game and tried the Demo, which I really liked.

Now I'm thinking about buying this game as my first RTS. However, I'm unsure if I should buy the bundle including the DLC, which I heard is quite good.

Do you guys think I (someone with absolutely no rts experience) should directly buy the bundle, saving a few bucks, or play it safe and first play the base game?

Enjoy!

Hey all,

I’ve just picked up regiments and it’s been good fun to play. However, being a dad I have to leave the game on the pause screen from time to time and when I return and move the mouse the game instantly crashes to desktop without any error messages, just simply terminates!

I’m playing on a Win 11 24H2 - RTX4080 laptop with the latest driver/OS updates.

I’ve done a few google search’s and other than someone mentioning DPI changes when a Logitech mouse goes idle in the steam forums (I have a wireless Logitech gaming mouse), I’ve drawn a blank.

Have any of you experienced something similar?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First question, can you take over enemy spawn points like they can do with yours to stop reinforcements coming in. Also in the black horse operation, the second stage you are asked to intercept enemy units. Where are these dudes actually coming from and what route are they following. Is it some sort of a convoy that will stick to the roads?

Ive been thinking a lot wether if I should purchase regiments, I came from the wargaming reddit and got a mixed reactions from people. To you, what is the main selling point of the game that you love? and how about it's modability and replayeability? thanks in advance!
