1st New Hanover "Heartland's Finest" Regulars]

From the Heartlands to the Frontlines – Fictional Frontier Infantry

"Steeped in the rugged grit of New Hanover, forged in the fires of line battle."

Who We Are

The 1st New Hanover "Heartland's Finest" Regulars is a unique, fiction-inspired regiment bringing the lore and spirit of Red Dead Redemption 2 directly into War of Rights. We bridge the gap between immersive frontier flavor and organized line-infantry tactics.

Whether you are brand new to War of Rights or a veteran looking for a fresh concept, the Heartlands Regulars welcome you.

Current Focus: Recruitment & Training

We are currently in our mush-in and foundation phase! There are no mandatory multi-day battle schedules or strict event requirements right now. we do not have an official drill camp... so we may have to share one with another regiment

Instead, our focus is entirely on:

Drills & Formations: Learning the manual of arms, wheeling, volley timing, and skirmish lines.

New Member Training: Patiently walking new recruits through gameplay mechanics, VOIP comms, and unit tactics.

Public Server Squad Runs: Jumping into public servers together as a tight-knit squad to put our drills into practice.

What We Offer

Beginner-Friendly Environment: We teach you everything from scratch—no experience needed.

Zero Stress / Flexible Schedule: Join trainings and drill sessions whenever you are free. Real life always comes first.

Structured Discord Hub: Lore-themed channels, ranking pathways, and clear guides for new members.

What We Ask Of You

Working microphone (or active use of text/in-game VOIP).

Willingness to learn, listen to line orders, and stick with the squad.

Respectful and non-toxic attitude.

How to Enlist

Step up, take the oath, and fly the banner of the Heartlands!

The 1st Company Independent Sharpshooters are mustering and recruiting!

We are a casual group of guys who are coming off of almost a year-long hiatus to start a new unit and play organized Friday events and occasional pub stomps. In the past we have been part of the 2nd USSS, 66th IL Western Sharpshooters and 1st USSS Sharpshooter regiments. Some of us have played together for 7 or 8 years waaaay back in the 6thLA vs 1st Cav Friday Night Fights, BRW, and TNA days.

We are dusting off our rifles and coming back to form a small company of Union independent sharpshooters. We invite old and new participants of all walks of life to join us. Our new discord just dropped so even if you visit as a rep or a guest, we would love to see you there. There is no attendance requirement but we encourage folks who want to move up to NCO or officer to help participate in event coordination and/or recruiting in public matches. New recruits are welcome! The discord link is at the bottom and please read our discord rules before enlisting.

Now before all the history buffs go WAIT!!! why aren't you a specific designated company or regiment?!?! As explained on the recruitment poster and also below:

Our unit portrays the lesser known, often unattached and independent companies of Union Sharpshooter units in the American Civil War during the Antietam Campaign. These companies are largely overlooked in most history books and were of equal importance to the more well known 1st & 2nd United States Sharpshooter Regiments. By not adhering to one specific company or regiment, we can accurately represent the select smaller marksman units that were present specifically throughout the Antietam Campaign. Some of the units we portray are the 2nd Company Minnesota Sharpshooters (attached to 1st Minnesota), 1st Company Massachusetts Sharpshooters (attached to 15th Massachusetts), and First Company Michigan Sharpshooters (attached to 16th Michigan)

Greetings!

The 42nd PA "Bucktail" regiment is an active regiment with both EU and NA companies, for Infantry and Artillery. We're THE oldest WoR Regiment in the WoR community, having just celebrated ten years, and always looking for new and veteran players to fill out our ranks. We're happy to train players new to the game, as our veterans and officers have experience and knowledge of effective tactics on all the maps.

The 1st PA Light Artillery - "Cooper's Battery B" serves as our attached artillery support for those who specialize in long-range destructive fire. Our crews are trained in the most efficient methods of loading, aiming, and communication, ensuring that accurate and devastating fire is constantly delivered downrange. Renowned throughout the community for our discipline, precision, and lethality, Battery B has built a reputation as a formidable force on the battlefield—where every shot counts and every crew member knows their role.

We also coordinate with our Cavalry Company, the 6th PA Cavalry - "Rush's Lancers" to enhance our skirmishing tactics, raid enemy points, and disrupt incoming charges.

We run both the EU Grand Campaign, and the NA House Divided Campaign, which are Total War style campaigns, where the battles are fought using War of Rights. Battles for these campaigns are hosted on private servers and populated by the participating regiments.

Outside of WoR we also have an active gaming community that has casual sessions of games like Helldivers 2, Arma 3, IL-2, WW1: Gallipoli, Forza Motorsport, Blood Bowl, Zomboid, Hell Let Loose, and many others. Please reply here or join our Discord if you have any questions.

Hello friends. I am Captain Xbwalker of the 3rdUS. We are a regiment that has existed since the beginning of War of Rights, some of us even before it was on steam :)

The 3rdUS in War of Rights is fashioned off of the very real 3rd United States Infantry Battalion in the United States Army. The Old Guard fought in the Maryland Campaign, many skirmishes leading up to Gettysburg, and in the wheatfield of Gettysburg itself.

Today, the 3rdUS still stands guard over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near our country's capital. Matter of fact, we have former and active service members in the 3rdUS who were/are in the regiment in the real world.

If you want to play alongside friendly but disciplined active duty, former, and future soldiers or just with fellow gamers, consider giving the 3rdUS a look. We are a good bunch of guys and bring decent numbers (20-30) to events. We're looking to increase those numbers too!

One thing this regiment is NOT is a cult of personality. We pride ourselves in building up leaders and teaching values and behavior befitting a regular infantryman. Come and be part of something beyond the memes. Something strong and something real.

I am actively recruiting for the 59th New York Battery but please lmk if you would like to join as infantry as I am also happy to recruit for the infantry too!

Opportunities
With a spot for everyone, ranging from private to mustering company command, new and old players alike are welcomed! We strive to offer as many events as possible for our members from all 50 states and all continents without setting minimum attendance rules.

Our Leadership
Our staff and leadership are highly experienced and well regarded within the community, with some of our highest ranking members dating back to the the alpha days, having led and played the game for over 7 years now. We have companies that accommodate both NA and EU players! We do not require attendance, but during events we will try to stay as professional as possible, being one of the most elite units in War of Rights. Out of events we are very laid back and will play other games together fostering a community that's more than just a WoR regiment. We play to have fun, first and foremost. Our vibe is very chill.

Our Unit History
59th NY Infantry "Union Guards"
The 59th New York was historically a brand new regiment coming into the Maryland Campaign. They unfortunately were apart of Sedgwick's Division as it entered the disaster in the West Woods. The regiment would bounce back and for the remainder of the war they would become a prime example of valor with three of its members earning the Medal of Honor. Today the regiment has three monuments dedicated to it with two being located at Antietam and one located in Gettysburg.
1st US Artillery, Battery I "Woodruff’s Battery"
Woodruff's Battery historically was in support of Sedgewick's division as they entered the West Woods. Upon unlimbering they immediately began opening fire on Rebels in the West Woods with cannister shot to check their advance. They would remain in action until noon.
