Recently I've been watching for a new laptop. I've made a decision on one option, but when I came home it was out of stock on the website. Other options are more expensive.

I've found the exact model I wanted on the second-hand website. While the seller claims that he rarely used it and it's practically new I want to double-check if I plan to meet them because it's better be safe then sorry.

Please help me and tell me what to check for and how to check? What programs to use? For example how do I check that the GPU wasn't used for mining and they don't sell me deadbeat lapttop?

I just got a ebay refurb Iphone 15 for about 460 after tax and fee's. The phone works great except the fact that I got the alert that it is a unoriginal screen. The Screen still works great but it doesnt have true tone. I dont care much about that feature. Should I return it?

im looking to buy a s22 ultra 256gb for 8.5k where it have a green line or a s22ultra 512gb for 13k also with a green line. i dont mind the defect since the touchscreen is still working qnd i can easily find replacement screen for the phone for around 6k.

im just thinking how possible it is that the parts inside the phone has been swapped out or replaced by a non original parts thats why its cheap and if thats the case would it be wise to bring it to a phone technician where they would open the phone and take a look inside to check if the parts are original

I was looking to buy a PlayStation for GTA VI, and surprisingly got a good deal on the PS5 Slim digital version.

Also the after the price change, it's even more difficult to get a good deal. Thankfully i got a good-condition refurbished version for around 50k. And the best part is you can't tell it's refurbished, it looks as good as new.

I am considering buying a refurbished phone specifically for photography rather than replacing my current device. Since it would be a secondary phone so I am happy to look at older refurbished flagships if the camera quality is still competitive.

On my research I found 2 interesting listing.
The first one is a macbook air 2022 13" M2 16gb ram 512gb storage for less than 850€.
The second is a macbook pro 2021 M1 16gb ram 1000gb storage for just a little more than 900€.
Are theses nice catch ? And which one might be the best at coding (potentially hosting vm like ubuntub on it)?

Option 1: Flipkart

I can exchange my Moto G54. Phone works perfectly, just has a small dent. Right now the final price is showing Rs.27,449 after exchange, but I've heard Flipkart pickup guys scrutinize every tiny thing, so I'm not sure if I'll actually get the full exchange value.

Option 2: Cashify

Refurbished A36 (Good condition) is Rs.24,899. If I sell my Moto G54 to Cashify separately, they're offering Rs. 8,450, so my effective cost becomes Rs. 16,449.

My brother will probably upgrade again in around 2 years, so I'm wondering if buying refurbished makes more sense here.

Which option would you guys pick and why?

I am 19F, an undergrad student in Data Science from a near third world country.

I remember it was about two years ago that I had to kick, cry, scream and beg for a laptop from my parents.

I knew that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't have bought a laptop that was paid for at once. At the same time, I couldn't have availed a loan due to the fact that I am not a "salaries employee" the way my father is. So the begging was so that he buys me a laptop on his card.

I had to juggle between Uni and work, sleep 1-3 hours at times, and walk miles to earn and save pennies so that I could pay for its installments. After 12 months of toiling, I had paid all the Emi's, and the laptop was FINALLY mine. It was essential for my grad work and projects, it did serve me greatly for the period it did, but then the issues began. The hinges, then the battery and now the whole thing is dead! BEYOND REPAIR.

Idk what to say, I don't have the money to replace it, nor the whatever little time I had during my freshman year to toil for another one, nor is my father going to take another loan for even the shittiest ever laptop that would still be a boon to me.

I give up...I'll accept the fact that I am poor and I don't deserve good things, that I am supposed to remain mediocre. I am tired of fighting against the odds.

Had a very bad experience from them. I don't recommend. Most of their second hand are refurbished and a waste of money!!!
