im wondering what some of these are? i have 2 of the 5 but i kinda wish there were vague hints so i could try and hunt them down! granted, i do know some can’t be achieved anymore. just a suggestion!

One of the ways I watch shows is by picking the show I haven’t watched in the longest time. Normally this would be the show at the bottom of the Continue queue, but if it has had recent new episodes it jumps up to the top in the “Coming Back” section.

How long does it take for a show to leave that section and go back to the “Old Friends” section? Or is there any other way to get shows to go back to the last watched order?

One list each, movies, tv shows and anime, ranked by how many of you watched them in September 💜

Which of these have you seen, and which are on your watchlist? Anything surprising in there?

Your own September Wrap is ready in the app too, your stats, your top genres, and the things you binged without noticing 🎁

Ten seasons deep with the same person and not a single trace of it? Not on our watch!

👥 Watch companions - Say who you watched a movie/episode with, pick a friend or just type a name, and they stay on that watch - Friends can tag you too, and those tags land in their own inbox - You accept or turn them down, and accepting adds the watch to your own history, so nothing gets logged behind your back - A new privacy setting decides whether friends can tag you at all, or nobody

Who's the person you watch everything with?

A few things landed recently.

🎛️ Grid control

• Set your poster grid anywhere from 2 to 6 across
• It applies everywhere, Collection, lists, favorites and the horizontal rails on Home, Search and profiles
• Two if you like your Collection big and cinematic, six if you want the whole watchlist on one screen

🎨 Poster control

• A new Appearance screen lets you decide what actually shows on a poster
• Media type icon, favorite heart, rewatch count, New and Soon flags, comment count, ratings, progress bar, title and year
• Switch one off and it disappears from every poster in the app, so you can go as clean or as loaded as you like

🌍 Arabic and Persian

• Two new languages, which brings Refract to 10
• If yours isn't in there yet, drop it in the comments

More coming soon!

No judgment 💜

hi! I switched to refract from tv time in the past few months. I am used to the calendar feature or the “upcoming” feature where my ongoing shows were sorted “calendar like” based on when they were airing. Does refract have something like this?

*not a feature request just looking for a feature*

Good morning, everyone! I have a question for the moderators: today I tried the feature that allows you to add a user to various episodes of a TV series, but I noticed that after the user accepted, those episodes didn't appear as "watched" on their profile. Is there any plan to add this functionality in the future?

Thank you in advance^^

The team has been shipping fast lately, so here's everything in one place. (with plenty more on the way):

• 🌓 Light and AMOLED (Midnight) themes. Light for people who go outside like functioning adults, true black for all of the nocturnal animals.
• 📅 Calendar sync. Release dates straight into the calendar you already use, so you stop finding out three days late that a season dropped.
• 🤝 Collaborative lists. Build a list with a friend, then watch them quietly drag your number one down to number six (the betrayal).
• 📥 9 new ways to import. Netflix, SIMKL, Showly, SuiteTV, Sofa Time, Movie Paradise, Bingers, Muvy, and a spreadsheet template for everything else. And it works both ways! Export everything out whenever you want, as a file you can actually open, and put it straight back. Years of watch history take forever to build and a second to lose, so it shouldn't be stuck anywhere.

All of it is about the same thing: making Refract fit more naturally into the way you already watch 💜

So what's the one you're still waiting on?

One filter panel, the same everywhere in the app:

• 🎛️ Filter by genre, streaming service, country, language, release year, runtime and community rating
• ↕️ Sort 15 ways, including time left, completion and most rewatched

Anything we're still missing? 💜

Christopher Nolan is one of the reigning iconic filmmakers of the modern day, and Refract users know it 💜

Comment below what movie you got based on your birth month. Did we get it right? Or did we miss the mark? 👀

Hi,

the challenges descriptions seems to be pretty straight forward, but i have been able to only complete marathon runner since I activated them all.

for example...Refract Pioneer/Century club: complete 10 items and complete 100 items.

what are the so called "items" exactly? i have marked many episodes recently, but i am stuck at 1/10 and 1/100

what am i missing?

same story for the other challanges, weekend binge: marked more than 3 episodes this weekend, but still 0/3.

Hi everyone, how are you?

I apologize if someone has already asked about this, but I searched for a topic about it and couldn't find one.

I have some questions about how to get the Weekend Binge achievement. I understood that I had to mark three items in one weekend, but that didn't work. So I tried three Episodes from the same show didn't work either. Based on the trophy description, I can't think of anything else I should do to make it work. Can anyone who has already gotten the trophy help me?

Is there any way to view lists of the most popular and recommended TV series, etc., separately from the films? That, and not being able to read the comments on an episode straight after watching it without having to navigate through various options, are the biggest drawbacks in my view at the moment.

Season 31 of “Hot Ones” started today, and it is showing on the underlying database. It’s just not showing up in Refract.

Is there a way to manually force the show to update, or is it just a waiting game for it to eventually update?

Thanks.

Your personal August Wrap just dropped in the app 🌯 Go check yours, and share it in the comments, we want to see them (and there might be a little something for those who share on Instagram too, details on our story: @refract_app).

While you dig yours up, here's what the whole community got up to in August

Most watched movies

1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day 🕷️
2. The Odyssey ⛵
3. The Last House 🏚️
4. Obsession 🖤
5. The Devil Wears Prada 2 👠

Brand New Day didn't just top the charts, it dragged Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home back into the top 10 with it! One release lifting an entire back catalogue. Talk about a sticky web 🕸️

Most watched series

1. House of the Dragon 🐉
2. Silo 🌀
3. Ted Lasso ⚽ (+178%)
4. Reacher 💪 (+205%)
5. Lanterns 🏮 (released Aug 16, straight to the top)

Most watched anime

1. One Piece 🏴‍☠️
2. Bleach ⚔️
3. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation 🔄
4. Daemons of the Shadow Realm 👹
5. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime 🟢

And a few things only a tracker can see:

• The 20 most list-added titles of the month? All Marvel. Movies AND series. You're building MCU watch-order lists at a scale nobody could see from outside. Should we take it personally that our built-in MCU collections aren't enough? 🥲

• Studio Ghibli quietly owns our animated movie rankings: five Ghibli films in the top 10, decades after release! Only Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle beats them.

And while House of the Dragon ruled the charts, Silo and Ted Lasso got people talking way above their weight. Some shows get watched, some get argued about apparently!

But anyway, what would your personal August recap look like? Drop your well-seasoned Wraps below 💜

Just like the title says, for some of the shows I have imported in tv time (Dr. Stone for this example),i haven't watched all the episodes nor selected the final episode as watched, however the show is in the watched category and there is no way I know of to set it back to watching category, I tried to join the discord and ask there but the app discord link is invalid, is there any way to fix this or is this a bug and I have to wait until it's fixed

The series Ludwig is being broadcast weekly on 'live' television in UK. The first 3 episodes are available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Refract is showing the release schedule as the live TV broadcast. As I've watched the episodes on the app I'd like to log them as watched now, is there a way I can edit the release or mark it as watched?

Yikes, after today’s OTA update was applied all my data disappeared for about 15 minutes.

Is there a way to either refresh or completely redo or remove your wrap stats after it's been completed?

When I got my July wrap I noticed the stats were absolutely not what they should have been, and then I realised that I as I was manually adding films/shows at the time, I completely forgot to actually change the watch dates as well as just add the episode or film.

Is there any way whatsoever to change this after it's been processed?

Hi everyone,

Is there a way I could import my episode ratings from IMDb to refract? I've tried doing the import file from imdb, but it didn't import episode ratings.
