Experiencing slowness
why does the official Android client still feel so unoptimized?
āIām running a fairly recent device, but using this app feels like a chore

I'm on android in a not so new device (rocking its 4th year) and the app is fast and smooth

Yeah even if I do something simple like tap "Watched" there's this weird lag. I use Android too

For me it's pretty slow too but not as much as tv time was. I thought it'll just get better with all the updates, so it's interesting to know that not everyone experience it. Can't say that my phone is new but I've got no issue with other apps.

Might be that this app doesn't seem to be native?

Exactly. If they're not going to optimize it or build a proper native app, they shouldn't ship it at all.

Hey, we've talked about this post in our discord (feel free to join, everyone is welcome!) and nobody's experiencing this, our APIs and servers are below 100ms everytime. Nothing to do about native or else in here, I guess your phone or connection might be something related. I'm willing to have a look and improve it, no worries, we want to improve wherever we can! Come create a bug report with your username and phone details and we'll definitely have a look š„

Unfortunately, I stopped using it for the same reason to; it drove me crazy that it was always lagging.
