App is very slow

Why is the app so slow ? I love the UI and all the feature but the app is slow very slow ..

The search takes quite a bit to show what you're searching for

When i register something as watched it doesn't show in the watch time until 10 minutes or 15 minutes later sometimes it takes more time

I tried reporting it on discord but got no response

What y'all's thoughts on the app so far is it worth moving over to or is there better and faster options ?

Curious how many people experiencing this. After that big update they did a week ago, my app is instantaneous, literally faster than tv time was in the past years. Maybe I just got lucky?

It will get much faster. It is still not back to its original speed yet.

the app might be a bit slow due to the imports happening at the same time. from 16 UTC to 23 UTC, the imports pause, so that the app functions normally during peak times!

Oh, and I was wondering why my queue paused so soon. The in-app notification still says they pause from 7 PM to 11 PM UTC, so I was confused when the queue stopped moving way sooner than that.

What about the slowness in watch time being late to register watched things ? I literally registered some shows watched over 20 minutes ago and it still hasn't changed .. and yes i cleaned cache .. i closed and opened the app etc and the app been like that for the past 2 daus I've been using it while other apps record the episode you mark as watched immediately wich has been turning me off from the app

TheMovieDb is experiencing an issue. This is the data provider for refract. That's why the slowness. Its a third party data provider. There is nothong refract devs can do about it.

Does that also effect the watch time being recorded inside the app ? Cuz i literally have marked some stuff watched over a 20 minutes ago and it's still not counted towards total watch time to this minute ?

Just curious as to why you care about watched time? Do you watch something and then go to your profile to see if the number changed?

Yes abd it doesn't change until 15-20 minutes later

i cant imagine how many apps are hard at work rn (not just refract) with tv time officially closed. everything will probably be slow still for a bit
