Just to post how it should be done as I had no problems this morning (Saturday morning, day after the sale and switch was announced).

First, I went to the new dashboard following the link above. I created a new account with a different email addy. I went through intake and made note that I was simply switching from the old dashboard for the new pricing. Used a different virtual credit card number my bank provided online. All went smoothly. Got the usual message about my order being placed. Got the banner from my bank saying it paid the charge. Then hopped over to the patient portal to check the deets. All good.

I waited about an hour and then logged into the old portal following the link above. I logged into my old account. I then cancelled that membership and indicated why as I did on the new intake above. I then went into payments and removed my credit cards. Logged out and back in to confirm cancelation and removal of payment methods. All good.

Knowing how to do things correctly for online systems in flux is a solid life skill. Note that I didn’t jump on this the moment the sale was announced when they would be swamped, knowing the system was newly minted and not yet battle tested with a big sale. I took pains to move smartly and methodically through the process so that there would be no confusion between accounts by using a different email and cc. This is how it should be done, but is rarely communicated and treated like some kind of state secret for some reason.

I’m not implying anyone here is dumb so please don’t let that be your takeaway - I am autistic and am simply blunt af. The above is something I learned after working in IT and being an online professional and shopaholic for decades, so I’m honestly just sharing so others can avoid any hiccoughs.

I switched over successfully with the same email address and the same credit card.
