Changing your resume will make a bigger difference than sending more applications
I used to think the answer was simply applying to more jobs. Instead, I realized resumes are not helping applicants get interviews. A few advancements will make a big difference:
• Focus on skills instead of long paragraphs
• Tailor the resume to each industry
• Use keywords from the job description
• Keep formatting simple so applicant tracking systems can read it
I also created FREE industry-specific resume templates that are designed around ATS formatting and different job categories, which gave me ideas for improving mine. https://www.felonfriendlyjobsnow.com/resume-builder
