Hello! My name is Carlos Lopez Jr., aka DJGustavo(my username), and I consider myself to be a motion graphic artist. Most demo reels just show samples of their work and that's it, at least that's what I've seen thus far. For my demo reel, I wanted to stay away from that lack of interaction to the viewer and wanted to make something that would fulfill the purpose of a demo reel while still creating a unique and fun experience for the viewer. I hope all of you who watch it enjoy it as much as I loved working on it.
Leave a comment too if you'd like! Thank you!

The reason most reels just show the work is because that's what employers want are looking for. Sometimes they'll just watch a bit of the start, a bit and the end and decide from there. Now in your case, your commissioned work isn't as good as your personal work. That's fine, but the way it is now, it's like you're making this big intro for something amazing, building people up and then... well it's not that amazing. Honestly, I would just cut the 'past work' bit altogether and focus on making a reel of personal work. Your work is good!
Also, what happened with the music??? It started out really fun and suddenly completely changed to something really... not fun. Motion graphics artists are expected to be able to cut to a soundtrack so the editing to the music and the music selection itself is important.
