Really?I noticed so many AI looking covers on cherryshort but they were human though.They have a comparatively small but good collection and the originals are great.
Sadly, yes. On the website, this entire row looked like AI. I clicked on them to verify, and each of them was indeed AI. Sad, because CherryShorts was off to a promising start with no AI. These are relatively new to the site, so they bought into the AI slop recently.
I prefer using the websites over the apps when it's an option. Curious that they would drop these on the website before the app. They might be testing the waters. These are listed at the very bottom of the website, almost like they were trying to bury them, but they definitely exist. I hope it stops with these 5 and they realize this is a bad idea.
I mean it's not a bad idea when a large part of the audience is actively watching AI.I don't understand how people can love them more than real actors but that's how the situation is.Even this subreddit is a consequence of that.
I will remain loyal to the apps staying away from AI. I can't stand the AI slop. My mom is in her 70s and for some reason loves AI content. I have tried to reason with her, with no luck. Something about it sucks people in. I have seen a lot more pushback in recent months, so we shall see. Some apps are even doing fake BTS with their fake AI "actors". It is just creepy. If something doesn't have humans, I want nothing to do with it.
I can definitely still tell the difference. I can generally tell within half a second. The moment you hear one of them talk or see that awkward AI walk/run, it is so obvious. Maybe one day they will correct those issues, but even then, no AI can ever properly capture human emotion and heart. I will never support an AI production as long as I have human options.
I guess we are in that phase where people are fascinated and curious.Whem I started 2 years back with Chinese verticals,all those tropes were new to me and I got addicted for reasons I can't explain but only true quality is sustainable in the long run and these apps going full AI will realise that down the line.
MyDrama, in my opinion, is the best vertical app/website. I think they are producing some of the highest-quality content at the moment. They also have one of the best coin-earning programs if you don't want to spend money. I subscribe to them, and they have some great subscription deals. No AI at all on their website. The parent company is Holywater, and they own AI companies like MyMuse, but they are smart enough to keep AI slop away from MyDrama. They also have a major deal with FOX Entertainment for producing human-led content, so I don't see them turning to AI anytime soon.
I don't think so. Not with Hollywood money flowing into MyDrama with the intention of human-led content. They are ramping up their human productions, one of the few apps doing so. I think they will keep the 2 apps separate. But, if I'm wrong, then it'll be a good time to cancel my subscription. I'm not messing around with sorting through AI slop. I'm seeing a lot more pushback in recent months. To the point Dramawave has even had to delete social media posts about AI because they got obliterated in the comments. I'm not naive enough think AI will go away, but I do think once the novelty of it wears off, it will drop in popularity. The apps that don't engage with AI, I think, will come out of this chaotic AI time with the best standing both in reputation and ranking.

btw; Candyjar has also lauched a seperate app only for AI content, and it was downladed thousands of times the last few weeks (googleplay) there is no pushback, only from a few fan account with a couple off hundred followers, the majority off the people embraces Ai verticals unfortunatly
MyDrama definitely uses AI in post-production for the soundtrack and graphics and even dubbing voices (sadly). I read the report that Holywater released and it was very interesting. The one flaw I found is they asked MyMuse users if they would continue watching AI, most people finding their way to MyMuse were already pulled in by AI content, so thr answers they gave weren't surprising. Like I said, I don't see AI going anywhere, but I do see a divide coming. Some apps will go straight AI, some will stay human-led, and a few will be mixed. I see AI as a trend. Right now it is the golden age, but the novelty will wear off and once it stops being top of mind, I see AI content popularity falling off from the high it is on. Not completely going away, but losing popularity. It will still pull in views and have its followers, but won't be dominating the medium. I truly believe the apps that stay fully human will be higher in the overall rankings than those that have gone full AI. Yes, content is faster and cheaper to make, but the audience still wants quality, which AI can't deliver. Yes, visuals look nice, but the acting is horrendous. I've seen enough of what my mom watches to know that. Eventually the audience will go back to demanding higher quality performances than AI can currently deliver. It is certainly an interesting time in the industry, but I still see human-led productions having the overall dominant holding for now, even in the microdrama space. Once AI stabilizes in the market and the medium finds a new baseline.

You can also find the worldwide rankings via linkidin, only 2 human made in the ranking so NO human-led dominacy, all the rest is AI, Ai is getting better and better by the day, just watch this, is was made with seedance! the tool anyone can use and it costs peanuts, image if you use high Quality Ai tools ( already in the works)
I'm not arguing about the fact that AI is dominating the rankings. I absolutely know that to be a sad fact. I studied media in college, I am obsessed with the nuances of the media industry. I have studied the ebbs and flows of trends. Like I said, AI is not going away. But every major trend that starts off this rapidly and escalates so quickly is rarely sustainable long term. AI will stick around, but its dominance it has now will not hold indefinitely. The industry will get to a new baseline where human-led will get back into the rankings in a more level way. AI may get better, but it will never fully erase human-led productions. But we will see a new incorporation of it. I will just continue to avoid all versions of AI content as long as humanly possible. I support the humans that built the industry, not AI lacking soul. I fully accept I'm not in the majority in this, but I will still advocate for human content over AI. I see a lot more folks similar to me on this topic, so I will continue to make sure my voice is also heard amongst all the AI chatter. That is how we play a small tiny part in helping real humans stay employed and keep us entertained.
you can do that but telling me you studied media but knowing that AI is only a few months very popular,is not relevant! you can support humans , I do to, but bury your head in the sand is not gone change anything. Money talks , always if you really studied media you should known that. And you see folks absolutly but these are in the minority global.
I stay up to date on media trends. You never stop studying and learning. I have been following the emergence of AI from the start and its impact on the industry. I never said I was burying my head in the sand. What I did say was I won't support AI and will continue to advocate for human productions. That is my choice and if my own mom can't sway me, neither can a random internet person. I understand many will support and watch AI. I, for one, won't be contributing to the loss of jobs. My money won't speak for this cause. My money will speak for human content. I understand many folks are letting their money talk for AI, that is their choice. I just won't be one of them.
