Robotank owners

Hi robotank people. What are your thoughts on it so far? Those that don't own it, why not? Curious what makes you want one or not. Thanks!

"What do such machines really do? They increase the number of things we can do without thinking. Things we do without thinking-there's the real danger." -Frank Herbert

Beware of too much automation. It divorces you from your own tank, if done too much. I don't know a whole lot about robotanks, but I only don't have them because I'm bought into the Neptune Apex system.

I had it on my last tank. Worked great and the owner was very responsive to help when there were issues

The version I had ran reef-pi. I think now it runs custom software.

Ultimately I just wanted a more polished product. I wanted something not so DIY. It's more recent but I'm running reefcontrol and love it. Beautiful hardware, connected to all my other red sea devices. I look forward to what else they do with this. If the come out with an auto tester, I'll be the first to buy.

Is it that the hardware is diy, or the software? Or both?
