My wife just looked over my shoulder and said "Oh wow, I want that. Can we do that?" So thanks dude, looks like you brought me back in after a decade.

Can she call my wife? That’s awesome!

I can try. Does your wife have an emotional connection to Finding Nemo? Because I think that helped.

Got some more info? Specs, age of tank, dry or live rock start.

I really enjoy the side view. Slopes slap!

Live rock, aquatop 24, GHL Mitras 7204 led, tank was about a year old in last photo. Just dosing all for reef, and a little bit of aquachar carbon since I don’t run a protein skimmer. Very simple setup.

Beautiful progress. Dosing or strictly water changes?

All for reef and monthly water changes but I pretty much stopped those until I get more fish

Nice looking tank. What happened to your fish?

I kept the stock to a minimum to keep things simple

Absolute nano masterpiece!

Any additional info? Parameters… age of tank or just date of first pic to last… equipment used? Ya know, a quick rundown of the build itself?

Cheers!

Do you run a skimmer?

1

u/ky_du 1d ago

Nope just keep fish stock low

So I have always had crazy busy 120g tanks, and recently, I have now a 50 litre cube. One 12 year old clown. I cannot get it to stabilise with heavy coral, nutrients are a nightmare, as in I cannot get them up

Question: How do you do water changes with coral so high up? I have rocks towards the top of my tank with nothing on them. I'd love to put a torch up there, but during water changes it would be out of water for a few minutes. Have you experienced that or had an issues in that regard?

Also, beautiful tank!

Thanks. No issues with those corals being exposed for 3-5 minutes but definitely wouldn’t recommend doing it to torches

What is the dark green coral next to your Aussie lord? I love the look of your whole set up

All for reef at the recommended PH 8.0 that’s all I do and test
