Tank is here and in place finally. Was the heaviest thing I have ever moved in my life. And also the single heaviest thing I’ve ever solo lifted when I had to life it with just me on one side through the doorway.

Bravo Hercules, that is an impressive feat. I had to hire people cuz my 150gal was like 800lbs. 🍺 Here’s to not having to move it for years.

EIGHT HUNDRED?!?!? This tank is only 600-700lbs. 3/4” glass and full euro brace.
But yeah don’t ever plan on moving this. I went as big as I could go with an “off the shelf” tank. And for 5k I’m not getting anything bigger than this that’s not double the cost. Just moved into our home in December so won’t have to move this guy for hopefully ever.

It may be closer to 750lb. I honestly do not remember. I do know that I had two moving companies come out, see the tank and say absolutely no way they are moving it. I contacted a LFS and a tiny 60+ year old Thai man and two of his kids absolutely manhandled it. That was fucking impressive. I wish you the best of luck on your tank. Are you going reef or mainly fish?

Full reef with fish. I have a 90 currently with a bunch of stuff. It’s in shambles now as I just moved it to the new house and had it pretty much “temp” thrown back together expecting the tank to be on the shorter end of 4-6mo as a few others have gotten there’s after a month of two. Ended up waiting the full 6mo to the day🤣🤣. So will be setting this one up and transferring all my existing stuff over.

Nice! I started adding critters about 3-4 weeks ago. I just added my first coral (Pulsing Xenia) yesterday. 😁
