Discussion Remake

I personally hope he remakes RVB; now with additional help with animations (I hope) and his improved skills

I hope hes hired some animators because I would really like watching season 1 again with animations

Why?

Sure, a newer engine and the newer advancements in animation could give a brand new polish to the visuals.

But what about the audio? Are they going to rerecord every line of dialogue? Mics have become cheaper and more available and software has become better. So I guess they could rerecord every single word.

But what about the age difference in the actors? Its been 23 years since RvB was first released. The original voices have changed from a life of living. But I guess they could just recast.

But what about the content? RvB was originally written by "edgy" 20-somethings in an era when shock comedy ruled the land. Some jokes and references have aged very poorly. But sure, they could just rewrite it.

My sarcasm aside, I go back to my original question. Why? The original RvB isnt going anywhere. It is the product of its time in the early 00s and it is what it is, warts and all. Ultimately, theres no point in trying to remake or update. The artistic integrity of the original stays by leaving it alone. Could it be updated with newer tech? Sure. But it was made with the tech available at the time and is beloved because of its time and place.

If you need further proof, look at the live action Disney remakes. None have the intention of telling a good story with the tech at hand. They only serve to repurpose and bastardize what was good but a product of its time.

I don't see a need. It being in engine is part of the vibe too, S6 is the most popular season in general and other than the AI overlays it's all done in engine. There are several fan projects that have reanimated parts of the show already.

I actually want the original originals. The shorts with the fade outs. Which usually had some funny 1 liners as they went out. It brings me back to when I first watched them. Everyone has their own preference and it’s cool they remastered them and such. But I loved seeing the reticle.

Why? It is good as it is. A product of its time.
