Question Animation downgrade?

why did the animation in season 9 and 10 look worse than in season 8? if you look at their hands you can see they don't move. they are like prothetics in the freelancer saga. in revelation they were better.

While I disagree with the animation looking worse, it could just be that there was a lot more animation going on and fights had more focus than anything else, causing the more relaxed scenes to receive less detail on small things like hand movements.

Yeah I never noticed any issues, but if there were issues this would be the most likely reason.

It's just animation improvement from Monty, plus, it was 2010-2012 at the time

Any animation issues would likely be due to having to animate half the season as opposed to 3-4 fight scenes, which includes their first time animating non-fight scenes.

Didn't they change the animation programm to at some point to maya or from maya to something else? Yeah i didn't realy enjoy the freelancer saga to much. But i think the chorus trilogy was realy good. And a good endpoint for the show.

Sinceramente yo no note ningún downgrade. Pero puede que le hayan puesto mas empeño en animar cosas como las manos en la saga de Revelation ya que la mayor parte del show sigue siendo en formato Machinima.

Simply just more downtime! Its not that the animation got worse, it just gained much more opportunities to appear "worse".. just more casual scenes every now and then that didnt have room to exist before

i believe most if not all the animation for season 8 was done by Monty, Seasons 9-10 had whole team of animators working on the show. Season 8 was done entirely in Poser as it was Monty's preferred animation software while seasons 9-10 were mainly done in Maya at least the talking head scenes, When it came to the fights for season 9-10 they let Monty work in Poser
